They changed the material.

They changed the material on the front top head part to soft flimsy cloth. So now the hat does NOT fit the same as the old style. Returning

I just ordered a new one (because I love the hat so much and my old one got faded from DAILY use) and it is GARBAGE. You hear me, Carhartt? GARBAGE! You did away with the firm canvas-like material of the face panel (what largely made it feel so high quality) and the meshing itself is less intricate and more plastic cut-out.
This new version of this once-great hat honestly feels like something I could pick up at Walmart.
Anybody doubting me, just look at the photograph where it is clear how firm the OLD hat face still is and how pathetic the new hat face looks.
Carhartt, whatever changes you made (probably for the bottom line), UNDO THEM. This really ticked me off and I no longer associate your brand with dedication to working man quality.
The woman on here complaining that the front of the hat was too stiff and didn't "conform to her husband's head", don't listen to her. Making the front feel soft and cheap is not the answer. It creates uneven bumps from my hair and I'm going to stop wearing it in public.

This is not a structured hat. Meaning there is no padding/foam/rigidity to the front of the hat like there is in most snapbacks. I've added a picture so you can see what I mean, there is no support for the front of the hat just loose cloth. Not only that but the material that covers the front section is "loose" leaving it looking wrinkled even when worn.

I was disappointed to when my item was delivered to find that it had been packed as if it was a book, in a flat box. That completely destroyed the shaped of the cap. Its a shame as it is a nice product, the cap seems good quality and fits well, but I'd expect it to be packed in such a way that it retains it's shape.
