REALLY would like to see Carhartt products made here in the US and NOT off shore. The reason I chose to buy US made goods when possible and regardless if it costs a little more, is to keep our money and jobs here, and keep US workers employed and able to provide for their families. Keep Carhartt US MADE!!!
These pants are listed as "original fit' but they seem a little loose in the legs. My husband looks like he is wearing baggy plants when he has them on. Not a huge issue, but the legs do seem wide.
However, my first issue with these pants was the fitting. I ordered 33x30 - a measurement I copied from all other pants I own. The waist was unwearably tight, and the butt and thighs were also uncomfortably snug. Considering these are advertised as work pants, I assumed they would run normal sizing, or maybe a bit large.
Now, I am 5'10'' and 185lbs. Pretty normal build, if a bit more stocky/muscular than the average male. I don't have any real fat lower than my waistline, so the tightness there was confusing. I can't see myself bending and squatting in them ever.
My other issue was the construction. There were over a dozen loose/uncut threads all over. While this is annoying, it's nothing I can't fix with a knife in 2 minutes. The real problem was the button hole on the waist. It wasn't so much a purposefully stitched spot for the button to go as it was a cut in the material with loose strands everywhere that would unravel after a week (think holey jeans from the 90's). That would take me 10-20 minutes to fix with needle and thread, and it would look terrible and probably tear out every few months.
All in all, buy your work gear in person, like I knew I should have when I ordered this.

Overall the pants are durable and I imagine them lasting for a while. The sizing of the pants was a bit annoying.
