For comparison in the picture I put these next to a pair of Carhartt Duck Dungarees and you can see that the stitching is a good 3.5" lower. To "fix" this I put some stitches in at the proper height, but this is something I shouldnt have to do on a pair of work pants...fix this Carhartts!
The fit is slightly slimmer it seems through the leg, but these are by no means skinny jeans. This by no means restricts movement...
The material is quite comfortable, wears softer than the washed duck, and provides a superb range of mobility! The evident stretch of the material is welcomed when trying to swing your leg over a fence, crouch, or climb in to a truck. The stress points are not riveted, but so far the stitching seems plenty strong...I’ve never had ‘em fail at the seems in the past, it was always holes worn in to the wear points.
I’m a huge fan, and plan to purchase more of these!
These pants and the double layer on the thighs are great. Fresh out the box as soon as you touch the material you know you purchased quality Carhartt. I am not a brand name fanboy and often shop for lessor known brands to find a bargain when I can. The value of these is undeniable and I would absolutely buy them again.
Note of caution:
I live in Florida, and these pants are HOT. While they are not "lined" they are thick and heavy duty. I would not recommend these for extended outdoor activities in southern climates except for on the one day a year the south pretends it knows what winter is.
I would purchase these again, and I would recommend them to anyone.
