Ok, but I may go with another company for my next Bamboo sheet purchase

I really wanted to give these sheets 5-stars, but unfortunately I just can't do it. They are incredibly soft and for the most part seem well-made, but I was very disappointed that after the first wash itself there were several significant breaks in the stitching--see the pictures I've attached; and of course I followed wash instructions to the T because who wouldn't when the sheets are so darn expensive.

The second reason I'm knocking down stars is the Cariloha's customer service--after you purchase, they send you several emails asking you to rate the product and reach out to them if there are any issues. I sent them 3 emails (2 because of another product that was supposedly sent to me but I never received and 1 because of the tears in these sheets) and have given them plenty of time to respond, but they never did. It seems very disingenuous to me to act like you care about the customer experience when all you are doing is fishing for 5-stars; tip for the company--don't bother initiating 'how did we do' emails to the customers because then it makes you look much worse when there's an issue and you don't respond.

Overall, these sheets are soft and nice, but if the product quality is not up to par with the cost and the customer service is unresponsive, that's a deal breaker.

UPDATE: 1/25/2017: 3-stars:
I'm updating my review because I finally got through to the company (4th time is a charm, I guess) and they stood by their quality guarantee. Once I got the return approval, the process was very simple--packaged up my original sheet set and sent it off via a prepaid UPS label (which Cariloha paid for) and really quickly received the new replacement set. I again washed following the instructions to the dot, and this time they have held reasonably firm. I say reasonably because some threads on the internal fitted sheet still did come loose, but hey at least no tears in the bedding so I'm happier than I was before. Sheets became even softer after the wash, and now hopefully I'll be able to enjoy them for a long time.

Amazingly Soft Sheets but...

These sheets are amazingly and fantastically soft and when wake up in the middle of the night it's almost nice as I get to enjoy them just a little bit more.
What I wasn't a fan of was the fact that there was no kind of paperwork included with the sheets at all. I didn't expect much but I was hoping for something to explain best ways to care for the sheets (To spend $200+ on sheets we didn't want to assume we knew the ideal way to do this).
Another thing my wife wasn't crazy about was the sheets weren't a solid color. There were some patches of color changes as soon as we pulled them out of the packaging. I told her that I read somewhere that was common among bamboo sheets and she dropped it - I hope I didn't make that up.
I'd give the sheets 4.5 stars (-.5 for color differences) and the packaging 3'ish because I really think it should have some care instructions included somewhere.

Best money I ever spent! These are the softest, most silky sheets I have ever slept on! Make sure you wash them on a delicate cycle and alone or with other bamboo products. I also avoid using bleach and fabric softener.

After a few years, my old expensive bamboo sheets were shrinking despite following the washing/drying instructions exactly. Being one who enjoys researching, I decided it was time to replace them. I spent countless days and hours reading reviews on a variety of different company's bamboo sheets from numerous websites including Amazon. After narrowing down my search to these particular sheets, I had several questions so emailed back and forth with a customer representative who responded in a very professional and timely manner. By the time I was done having all of my questions answered to my satisfaction, I was absolutely sold on these sheets.

There are a number of exceptional differences that I noticed immediately between these resort sheets and my old bamboo sheets:

* The fitted sheet is large enough to fit perfectly and doesn't have the tendency to "pop" off at the corners
* The top sheet is plenty long enough with room to spare - no short sheeting!
* They are so silky and soft upon opening the box
* Even after washing and drying, these resort sheets remain very soft and silky
Note: My old bamboo sheets, after being washed, felt like pliable cardboard but did soften up somewhat after drying
* The color is vibrant and doesn't even begin to wash out
* Quality of these sheets are distinctly better than my old ones
* Being that it's summer now, these sheets keep you so nice and cool
* I have no doubt that in the winter these sheets will keep us warm and toasty
* These resort sheets cost less than my old bamboo sheets

All this to say that I couldn't possibly be more pleased with this purchase. My husband and I absolutely LOVE them and are so glad that I spent all that time researching in order to find these sheets.

If you are looking for exceptional quality along with the feel of soft and silky bamboo sheets, don't hesitate to buy these. They are definitely well-worth every penny.
