I bought this product because I wanted to continue my pole dancing training at home not realizing that I should spend way more for a quality pole. The materials are flimsy and some of the parts are plastic. Basically it works as a tension rod and you need to tighten the screw at the bottom to make it tight enough to use. However, there is also a screw at the top and when tightening at the bottom, the screw at the top comes undone negating its effectiveness. If all you want to do is lean up against it, this works well, but anything more advanced needs a sturdier pole. Save the money and buy something that costs at least $250.

Although this seems like a great deal I promise you are getting WAY less than what you're paying for. This pole seemed perfect because it was portable but the pole materials are Very cheap. After assembly the pole didn't sit correctly like promised. Ive reinstalled it several times to try and fix it. The pole pieces are flaring out at the seems showing that the metal is less than supportive. I only weigh 130lbs so that shouldn't be the cause. If you want a good pole I just got a little Mynx which works WAY better for just a little more money

I bought this about 2 years ago and with regular use it's still sturdy and attractive. I have plaster ceilings and hard wood flooring. I bolted this into the ceiling and it's strong. I weigh 150lbs and acrobatic (as some say anyway), so if you need something to practice routines with and not looking to spend much, this is your best bet.

I bought this pole about 2 years ago but I got mines from Spencer's & I must say it's not the best product. The pole does not grip the ceiling as good as it should can't do the extreme tricks like I want w/o it bout to fall over but I'm going to try & make it a freestanding pole & if that doesn't wrk then I'm getting rid of it. I wouldn't recommend this pole to anyone!
