Carmen's New York Romance trilogy is a hot read that just goes to show that there is such a thing as Fate... and Karma! While this book is firmly in the Erotica genre, what it isn't missing is a STORY. From the first you get pulled in to the lives of Kurt and Carmen -- Carmen, who is traumatized & on the run from a past "boyfriend"/lover; and Kurt who is leery of relationships after being wrongly accused of abuse against a woman. These scars affect their love story in ways that make you end up rooting that they can get past them and have their "Happily Ever After".

Okay, so you didn't originally pick out this book for the story. You picked it out for the sex. And yes, it is worth the purchase price for the sex scenes alone! SCORCHING! Now color me Vanilla (& note the capital "V") - but this is a book with STRONG BDSM scenes. As a matter of fact, the middle section (#2) is REALLY hardcore since it veers into the sex slave / debasement element of BDSM. If this is not for you, you will probably find this a bit disturbing (I know I did). However, just take it like I did - with a spoonful of sugar and realizing that you've just gotten a bit of an education & you now know it is NOT the path for YOU. (And then tonight you can go to bed, say your prayers, and hope that all human sex slave / traffickers burn in a fiery hell... or that they get the same sort of payback that Robert Ellis does at the end of the trilogy - yep, it's THAT appropriate!!) With the heat in this trilogy, you'll want to make sure you have someone (or some thing, as it may be) close by once you finish - because you'll need some "cooling off" <wink>.

For fans of Nikki Sex, you'll be glad to know that Andre Chevalier has a role in the 3rd book...

Another 5 star read from Nikki Sex! I don't know exactly what it is, but there's just something about her writing style that makes everything seem like so much...fun. In this series, we're given Carmen and Kurt's story. Carmen is a young, intelligent woman on the run from a bad (and by that I mean absolutely horrific) relationship. Kurt is "New York's most eligible bachelor" similarly in hiding from a bad relationship, the results of which have left him victim to the tabloids. His friends decide he needs some sex to relax him and arrange to have a high-class call girl dress up as a chambermaid and visit his hotel suite. Carmen is working as a chambermaid in the hotel and goes to deliver some towels and...well, I'm sure you can imagine what the case of mistaken identity results in! Book 1 is pretty much all about the sex, and it is absolutely panty-melting, squirm in your seat steamy. In books 2 and 3 however, we get the back stories for the 2 and some pretty serious subject matter is dealt with. I won't give anything away, but I will say that Nikki has done an awesome job of creating absolutely likeable characters once again. Carmen and Kurt are wonderful together, and the addition of Andre Chevalier (Nikki's favourite Dom!) just adds to the fun. My only issue with this one was that the ending seemed a bit rushed...not that I'm complaining about the end the villain met...but I thought perhaps a bit more space could have been given to wrapping things up. I have to say though, that this did not detract from my enjoyment of the story at all. Highly recommend this one. Oh, and one more thing...go ahead and buy the set - you're gonna want to read them all. Don't say I didn't warn you...

This story was sad, uplifting, and MELTING HOT! Carmen was a truly strong female lead. What she had to go through and still survive everyday life was definitely heroic. Kurt was perfect. I think every woman needs time with Andre Chevalier! Yummy!

It's amazing what the mind can do. It can block out the bad things that we go through and only remember the good. Nikki Sex proves this through out this book.
I love the beginning but when I read it, I thought that it was just the same old story with different people. Boy was I wrong. Carmen was an amazing woman, she was perfectly scarred for Kurt. And that sense of humor, one like that will take anyone anywhere they want to be in life. "Don't cry Thor" made me have to put it down. I laughed so hard.
Kurt and Carmen, two people that were made for each other. (I know that it's a book). I have to say that I loved it for the message. With the right mind, you can do anything.

This is one fine writing and to see how it all started and where it went is fantastic!!! Starts with what is supposed to be a call girl that ends up being a real maid and watching where the love grows and takes these two is so wonderful. I love some love stories with a little of kink but this has it all and is so worth the time to read. I love getting lost is the world of books and fantasy and you can defiantly do that here. If love like "Fifty Shades" this is real close but has a different twist.

Hot,hot, hot. What a steamy and smart read. I was a little worried at first with the formatting and chapter titles but this was awesome. I can't wait to read more from her. A continuation of the story would be great too because it did and a little abruptly and I was disappointed at that. But it did all wrapped up well.
