It's too bad that Elmer's has changed their distribution on this product. I use to be able to buy it at Lowes or the Depot. I only use a little bit at a time to fill hairline seams and holes left by my 18ga nailer on my custom furniture. For as much fill as I use, it stains nicely and sets up very quickly. I think it's better than any of their other products. If it dries out in the container, I just moisten a bit of paper towel and throw it in. Fresh as new the next time use it.

The only wood filler I've used but works fine. Hardwood floor installer left a bunch of gaps everywhere so I used this bad boy to fill the gaps then used Minwax 63490 1/3-Ounce Wood Finish Stain Marker, Ebony, to stain the filler.

This is a very good quality filler suitable for finish work as it is very fine and spreads very well into fine cracks and pores. Beware, the container does not seal well and can cause it to dry out quickly. I recommend transferring to a clean jar with tight cap if you only use this in small amounts. Readily thinned with water so you can reduce to whatever viscosity you want. Bar none, this is the best wood filler available, comparable to auto body glazing.

I really think this is a great filler for the price. It is very flexible and easy use and clean up. It dries well, and reapplies smoothly. The only minor complaint I have is that it can dry out a little quickly if you are using it to fill more time consuming areas, so try to keep the lid on it to avoid drying out the top a little.... but it does mix back in well enough. I'm happy for the price and the quality. So far so good.

Works like it should. Filled holes in plywood, sand and paint over after its dry. Easy clean up if dropped on anything else, either wipe off while still wet or wait until its dry and scrape off. Of course you should only scrape it off of surfaces that you don't mind scratching. I spread it on the plywood with the 3M Bondo spreaders also purchased on Amazon. Worked perfectly. Like a past reviewer said, this is for the 4 ounce / half pint size. It doesn't look like the photo that is shown. I only needed a few tablespoons, so it worked out for me.

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because first off it does shrink pretty bad. So have to sand then reapply more than once. And it only comes half full. But if you have patience it is a great product especially for the price.

This was the third filler I had bought. The first two did not dry after I used them which defeated their purpose because I needed to fill in nail holes in furniture. So I decided to go with this and it worked! It has a yellowish/tan color when dry but if you paint over it, its not noticeable. I painted white over it and you can't tell where the holes were.
