Although you can't break the game, the 'pucks' can be hard to replace. Unfortunately, there was a significant design oversight as the board doesn't come with a built-in storage space so be careful to keep the 'pucks' in a bag so they don't get lost. Enjoy.
I also looked at the Crosley model, but it didn't have the triangle scoring game in addition to the parallel 1-2-3 scoring layout, so I went with the Carrom. I'm glad I went with the Carrom. Very sturdy and well made.
When the mercury plummets to 30-below up here in sunny Minnesota, my boys (7 & 4) and I haul out the shuff and have a great time!
If you think $35 - $40 is a bunch of dough to spend on a wooden board game, keep in mind that this is a game that could conceivably outlive YOU!
Buy it. Stop reading this gibberish and buy it. You'll love it.

the story goes i ordered it because of the price and the reviews, and i recived the product in a few days because amazon is amazong in that respect. i was excited, opend it up and set it up on our dining room table. the wife asked me "what are you up to" " oh just setting up our new game system"-me wife-"what is it?" me- "shuffleboard!" we were both excited and i pulled out all the parts and we tried playing. the little hockey pucks are inconsinstant in how they move. some times they go far and sometimes they get caught up because its just a little bal bearing with a plastic sleeve which is perfectly fine but somehow they werent functioning well at all. we tried and tried and tried. i felt my heart dropping as i realized i woudl not be having fun with this unit.
i think if you dont mind the inconsistency of each roll and its maybe for little kids who dont care about real word physics i think it might be fun. but if you are looking for a game where it is your accuracy and control that is part of the game, then for me this was a huge let down. i would rebuy it at around $8 and give it as a gift to a child most likely.
gotta hand it to the company for really trying to make a fun game at an attractive price, but for accurate folks you might just maybe be returning this little guy as i did. i couldnt keep it in my house knowing how those little pucks react when we tried rolling them.
Quality surface with real wood. Our board had a slight imperfection in the red paint, but nothing worth being mad or bummed out about.
The shortfall of this product is the marble/bearing pucks that it uses. The plastic is not uniform and the pucks don't travel in a consistent way. We have had to come up with "house rules" regarding the path of the pucks. If everyone at the table watched a puck "weeble wobble" erratically, they got a chance to flip the puck over and re-shoot.
With this change in the house rules, we had plenty of competitive fun. Tons of trash talking and months of fun and challenging entertainment.
Now that we are going on 8 months with this game, the bearings are all rusty. They won't travel 5 inches. I tried cleaning them but it is no use. I will have to buy more pucks.
Final verdict... this game is worth buying, but just know that next Christmas or next birthday, you are going to have to buy more sub par pucks to go with it. The game is still fun with weeble wobbly pucks, just not fun with rusty pucks.

Surprisingly well mad. I was expecting something much less sturdy. The small pucks act a little wonky at times but the ball bearings don't stick. Read morePublished 22 days ago by Amazon Customer
