Most of the good reviews here are for the original version of these gloves, which were great, and worth paying a little extra for. The new version (now made in Taiwan) is a complete waste of money. The are now thinner, tighter (Medium used to be a perfect fit), and no longer have the smooth cotton flocked lining that made them so easy to get on and off (despite what it says on the box). I feel like they would tear unless I peel them off inside out, because the inside is now sticky. The only thing they didn't change was the color, so that people would think they were the same item. Might as well get gloves from the dollar store and just fold the cuffs to keep water out, because these are not much better quality than the disposable ones.

To add insult to injury, they are still priced as premium gloves. I purchased mine at a local store because the Amazon price is absurdly high at the moment, but I paid the same as before, when they were a quality item. I have been buying these for many years, but I actually returned this last pair as soon as I tried them on and realized they were completely different gloves. I don't think they are worth half of what I paid, and I can't imagine anyone repurchasing this cheap imitation. Casabella had a good reputation with a product that stood out from the others, but they really blew it here. Time to move on.

Between excema, a variety of topical skin allergies and just flat out sensitive skin, I've always had a difficult time doing dishes and other wet cleaning. If I do it bare handed, I end up with dry, peeling skin. When I used dish gloves, my arms would usually break out in a rash. The Casabella gloves are the first ones I've ever found that actually worked: the lining is soft and non-irritating, the cuff keeps the water out of the glove and they fit my hands well. As an added bonus, they're sturdy-but-flexible and provide a good gripping surface for cleaning. (Keep an extra pair stashed away, though -- when mine wear out the fingers tend to suddenly fall off.) These glove are also excellent for all around household cleaning; I've got pairs designated for cleaning the fish tank and scrubbing the bathroom -- much to the joy of my hands, husband, and dermatologist.

These are almost what I'm looking for. They fit well, and I appreciate the rolled-up cuff. I don't like that they aren't lined, and even though I'm not allergic to latex, there is a very strong latex smell after taking them off, necessitating a long hand scrubbing, and negating some of the benefit of wearing them in the first place. I'm going to try the "True Blues Ultimate Household Gloves" next, since they're lined, machine washable and non-latex. We'll see.

Edit: I first wrote the review saying that these were very durable. However, since then they have cracked all over the place. Maybe this is an acceptable lifespan of a pair of gloves - I think I got them about a year ago. I now use the True Blues gloves and will never go back.

These dish gloves are amazing! They insulate from heat well, fit perfectly and don't seem to degrade like other gloves. The flared top keeps my arms dry and the grippy palm surface keeps me from dropping dishes. I've recommended this product on several occasions and will do so many more times!

EDIT: I *thought* I couldn't live without these gloves, but I was wrong. I purchased these gloves less than five months ago and now one of them has two holes in it. The first hole was my fault, I poked the finger with a fork while scrubbing it and made the hole. Arguably, I think the glove should have stood up to a little fork poke, but oh well. I put superglue on it, the glove didn't leak and I kept using them.

HOWEVER, today I started getting water in the glove and looked down to find a new hole in the thumb. It doesn't look like a stab hole, the material looks like its degrading! The hole is so big, there's no superglue fix that would do the trick. I am very disappointed.

While I like the glove's design, I won't purchase this brand again. Some individuals might be okay buying gloves twice a year, but I want my dish gloves to last for at least 12 months. I'll be trying out other brands, starting with True Blues as mentioned by another reviewer, to find a better pair.

****FINAL EDIT**** 3/25/13

After my first edit, I caved and bought more... To this date, I've bought SIX pairs of these gloves, each time to replace the last pair. It's clear that I like them -- they're pink and cute and I like the Water Stop cuff -- so I wont lower my review past three stars. I also wont buy these again. Ever. They get unexplained holes every time and the material isn't high-quality.

This has been my 10+ pairs of Casabella gloves already, and I am still coming back for it, probably until something super inventional came up, I will use this as long as they offer it.

Normally, a pair of washing gloves will only cost you as low as $0.99, why spend this much? Let me tell you why this worth..

With this pair of gloves, you can feel the quality of material used, the cut and fit on your hands, the durability and the design, all very well made together. If you are not concerned about quality, you can skip this review. I have been using this for 6 years, started off with their heavy duty gloves in purple (no longer made, product discontinued), and now come to this, which I would not think to try others since Day 1.

With dishwashing, I always use hot water to rinse out the oily substances and dried food stuck on the plates/bowls/silverwares. With this gloves' thick material, it protect my hand from being burned, and also to prevent the spilled water to run down my arms with the folded ends. A lot of other products designed with similar design, but this folded cuffs actually has extra holding folded seams to make sure it stays and won't flip. This is the subtle difference in the design of the produce you are paying for. It is so reliable, that it gives me the peace of mind whenever I have to do dishes. For day to day activities, it is definitely worth to invest in good quality products, you will enjoy more in even doing chores.

Apart from dishwashing, I have been using it to remove steaming items from my rice-cooker (if you know how tight the spaces are inside it..), pressure cookers, etc...
