The story begins with the death of Camilla Rothrock, while lunching with her gal friends. Who would do this to a little old lady? Lucci has crafted a conspiracy theory, complete with two dastardly characters - Boris and Snake who are determined to take out a town using Boris' deadly mix of poisons. They're both crazy as loons and just make your skin crawl!
Michaela McPherson, her sidekick lovable canine Angel work savagely, along with the suave sexy detective Slade to try and find out who, why and how.
Aside from Mich, I think Dottie is my favorite character. She's a haughty, loveable sleuth who bring humor and smiles to the story and we find she is unyielding in her attempts to help the case.
If you're looking for a good medical mystery, laced with a little humor and endearing characters, then I urge you to grab Judith Lucci's newest jewel. Bravo Ms. Lucci! (Now when are Slade and Mich gonna hook up?)
This is a fast paced easy reading book. The villains who have a much bigger disaster planned are so bad they're easy to hate. Judith Lucci's character development is excellent. She really brings her characters to life. The danger builds to an exciting finish and I'm ready to read the third book. Very enjoyable reading experience.
As a frequent Richmond visitor, I think I will be a bit more attentive to my surroundings from now on.
BTW, I've met Ms. Lucci , and one would never guess by looking at her what horribly wonderful things she can think up!
