The Case for Free Market Healthcare Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 28 ratings

Healthcare in America is a volatile topic generating contentious debates.

Some of the questions that arise are:

  • Should there be a universal healthcare system?
  • Should every American be forced to buy healthcare insurance?
  • What should be done about the un-insured?
  • Should states be allowed to run their own healthcare systems or should the federal government step in and exert national control?

In America, any healthcare delivery system must be respectful of the dignity of man. It must respect the property rights of those engaged in its delivery. It must place the patient and their doctor at the center of the decision-making process, and it cannot, under any circumstances, allow external forces to decide who receives and who does not receive treatment.

The future directions laid out in The Case for Free Market Healthcare are largely unaddressed by the American press, political leaders, or policymakers, yet integral to our nation's continued well-being in the fullest sense of the word.

Dr. Julio Gonzalez who is not only a medical doctor, but also an attorney, and a former lawmaker, tackles these critical questions in his book The Case for Free Market Healthcare.

With meticulous research, Dr. Gonzalez provides historical perspective on the issues at hand and examines present-day problems with American’s healthcare delivery system, while focusing on the sanctity of the patient-doctor relationship.

Dr. Gonzalez identifies solutions to the problems that afflict us and proposes rational ways of moving forward.

The Case for Free Market Healthcare is a must read for anyone concerned about the future direction of the nation's healthcare delivery system and for the freedom with which they can pursue their care.

Dr. Julio Gonzalez writes a very informative book on free-market health care. It is very easy to understand and the big concepts are thoroughly explained as you continue reading. His chapter on Medicare informed me about the effects of balance billing on consumers. I enjoyed reading his book because unlike many others he uses facts and logical information to educate his readers instead of biases. This book is highly factual and the author establishes his credibility by using facts and precedents. He discusses this complex issue in a way that everyone can understand and relate to.
