I am going to add my mostly positive vote to the other 500-odd owners/raters of this high quality case for 2.5" HD enclosures, or 2.5" "retail Hard Drives" (like the ones from Western Digital, and the other HD manufacturers that want your bizness) with some qualifications and caveats. I give the case 4 Stars, instead of 5 Stars, just because it doesn't quite perfectly fit my new Acomdata Tango 2.5" external HD enclosure, but with a little help, creative "stretching and bending", I have, believe it or not, *made* the case fit the enclosure! So there Case Logic, I did it in *spite* of your dimensions and construction!
Don't get me wrong, this is a very high quality item, a case that speaks for itself in terms of construction materials, design, and overall strengths, which outnumber the detractions and lacks substantially, it's simply that if they'd have made it a mere 1/4-inch or so larger I'd be giving the case 5 Stars instead of 4 Stars, but I've got to call it like I see it, and it just doesn't quite earn Wavey Davey's 5-Star Gold Rating For Excellence, and the nice people at Case Logic are going to have to settle for 4 Stars.
Strengths:
**XLNT materials and construction
**Quality inside the case, too, with a nice silver/grey synthetic lining to protect the contents
**Nice, handsome, good-looking case, especially in black with the Gold/Black Case Logic logo on the front
**Strap inside to help "tie down" the HD enclosure
**Great color (black) combo, with the silver/grey lining on the black exterior
**Heavy Duty Zipper, which should last a long, long time, but not a double zipper
**Mesh-enclosed 'mini compartment' on the left, facing side inside the case for cords, cables, etc
**Attractive leather (I think it's leather!) outside cover insert that breaks up the plain rectangular black mesh material design nicely
**Semi-hard, tough outside case material which will hold shape inside a briefcase, purse, etc
**Heavy-duty "hinge" design, which is also going to last a long, long time
**Priced right, for the high quality of the case
Detractions:
**Just a tiny bit too small for many of the larger 2.5" HD enclosures
**Could have used a "double zipper" instead of a single wrap-around zipper, like other cases I own
The case is being used with an Acomdata "Tango" USB 2.0/eSATA 2.5" Hard Drive Enclosure, which uses both an eSATA cable (bulky, hard to pack and fold) and a double-USB-fitting-featured USB 2.0 cable, and the case is large enough inside to hold both cables, once arranged properly, along with the HD enclosure itself, after I "stretched and bent" the case a tiny bit overnight with some golf balls, which I have been known to use for that purpose with cases like this. The technique is simple: place the golf balls inside the case *across the case and at the corners* of the case overnight, close it up tight with the zipper, and voila! By the morning the case gets "stretched" a little bit to accommodate items it maybe wasn't meant to take in the 1st place...or so I've found!
That's about it for my take on this nice Case Logic HD enclosure case...it's very high quality, should last a long, long time, protects the contents with a soft heavy-synthetic material so that things don't get scratched or marred easily, and overall it's just great for my purposes. I *should* give it 5 Stars and be in line with most other reviewers here at Amazon.com, but just because I had to "stretch it out" with the "golf-ball technique" overnight to make the case fit my enclosure, and the two cables that I need to use it effectively with eSATA (the USB cable is used to power an eSATA connection with notebook computers, which lack powered eSATA ports), so I have to tell the truth and represent this case appropriately in giving it a 4-Star rating.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the case, and it should last me and my Acomdata Tango enclosure a long, long time, but it was not PURRFECT out of the box, required a little finessing and effort on my part to make things fit right, so 4 Stars is what it gets from Wavey Davey's viewpoint.
My overall impression is tainted a little bit because I have a CoolMax 2.5" HD that came with a case that fits its slightly oversized HD enclosure (USB 2.0 only) perfectly, so I know it *can be done*, that is make a case with the right dimensions to fit virtually any/all 2.5" HD enclosures. Case Logic wasn't that far off from getting it right, but they are off just a tiny, little bit, just about 1/2" to 1/4" off, and that earns my 4 Star rating at Amazon.com--they fall just short of getting the 5 Star Wavey Davey Gold Award For Excellence, and that is how it is!

Excellent Quality Case - Fits 1TB GoFlex Drives Nicely!

I have always liked Case Logic. They make quality, well designed cases. This case is no exception.After reading through the reviews, it was hard to find one that confirmed whether the new GoFlex drives fit inside the case. I found two reviews after digging. One stated it was too small, the other stated it was fine. I decided to order two (recently ordered two GoFlex drives) and try them out for myself.They arrived today. Here is what I can tell you.. The drives, out of the box fit snugly in the case. You do not need to remove the connector on the drive either. This applies to putting the drive DIRECTLY ON TOP of the elastic band that is inside the case. Now, if you use the elastic band and put the drive under it, it fits snugly as well. It's not complicated to insert it, just a little different than not using the elastic band. So, with or without the band - the drive fits snugly with the connector attached. I will not use the band because the drive fits perfectly and there is no where for it to bounce around or anything like that.Now, if you remove the connector on the drive, you will have more room and the drive is not as snug. Using the elastic band is also much easier to use. You have more room to insert the drive and remove it. Use of the band without the connector on the drive again, is subjective. It's up to the purchaser. The drive is secure either way.On the opposite side of the case is space for storing a cable/connector set. There is plenty of room for both without squishing the case to zip it up. It closes easily and zips up smoothly.The case is simple, effective and seems very durable. It's a hard case, with a soft interior to prevent scratching the plastic finish of the drives made today and has a soft nylon exterior. This thing is perfect for protecting your portable hard drive while it's in your backpack, messenger bag, briefcase, purse or any other bag. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this case!***PLEASE NOTE*** - The Seagate GoFlex drive would be the absolute LARGEST drive that can fit in this case. Anything bigger than that, will not fit.I hope this review helps. :)
