Update: I received my High Sierra Freewheel and it appears to be exactly what I wanted. My computer fits, it's smaller than this product and the handle appears to be much stronger and locks into the extended position. You can read my review for that backpack for more detail.
I like the organization of the case. I especially appreciate the small area for clothing. This is an advantage over my old bag which simply had one huge compartment and a smaller one on top. As with anything this case took a little getting used to but overall it's helped me organize my stuff a little better.
Perhaps the only problem that I've had with it is that it's too wide to pull down the aisle of some jets. Unlike most roller boards that you has the handle from the narrowest side, this one has the handle from the wide side. My new case logic seems to be an inch too wide to pull down the aisle of Delta's 737s, so I have to carry it to my seat. I had the same experience on a 767. When I'm traveling by myself this is not a problem, but if I have the with me it's a bit more problematic.
I'm a long-time user of Case Logic products having owned numerous laptop cases, sleeves, and covers. Case Logic's products have always lasted a long time for me so I was very happy to find this particular case.
I chose it because of the long handle and from the video and what I read I thought it would hold my computer and accessories that I needed for long cruises and trips to Aruba and Mexico.
Half of the pulls on the zippers came off after the second trip. Have broken lots of fingernails trying to zip and unzip the case. Also the design of the zipper pulls is such that locks can't be used. I realize that it is easy for someone to just take the whole case, but I was hoping that I could lock the case when I left it in the stateroom or hotel room.
It rolls easily and I like the long handle but it is just wide enough that rolling it down the airplane aisles is a little tricky. What was frustrating was shortly after I ordered this one just prior to an extended 30-day cruise in July-August, Case Logic came out with (or at least it was first offered on amazon.com) a tall, narrow case that would have been better for rolling down plane aisles. There wasn't time before our cruise to send this case back and exchange it.
This one does. Plus Case Logic Warranty is GREAT. See below.
Pockets could be better organized (the only thing not giving it 5 stars).
I works well with my carry-on luggage. I am able to hook it to my luggage and roll both.
It is stable, does not tip.
Update after 6 months of usage.
Fabric on bottom of case is wearing away from rolling thru airports... I put some black gaffer tape on it.
Wheels and handle are holding up well.
Fits on all of regional jet overheads.. Some need a good shove(Delta), but it does fit.
Update... 11 months in...
Zipper on the middle compartment has failed.. Wheels and handle in good shape..
Called the vendor, within 5 minutes I had a form in my inbox for a claim. Within 5 days I had a replacement bag.
All at no charge. Pretty easy, just emailed them the form with 2 photo's. 1 to show what failed, 1 to show the front of bag with logo.
For the money, you can't do better.
