Tough Xtreme for iPhone 5/5S is Case-Mate"s most rugged case, delivering our highest level of protection in the thinnest possible construction. It combines military-grade protection with a sleek, non-bulky style. The extremely durable design is formed from three layers of toughness. A soft exterior wrapped around a hard skeletal structure is fused with a soft, impact-absorbing interior. The built-in screen protector helps to prevent screen scratches.

My only complaint is that after a few weeks of use, the flap over the charging port doesn't stay in anymore, there it is, just waving about. I haven't gathered the courage to trim it off. The other flaps are still well fitted, though. I'd still buy this case again. I had tried at least 4 others before this one and sent one back, and the others are just gathering dust (a slim one, a leather folio one, another rubbery kind, and an Eyn).
Initially I thought I would have a problem with the flaps that cover the various ports on the phone as they did not close sufficiently, and it was a problem that others had raised in their reviews, but I have found that they close just fine - you need to push down and in from the top. They have been closing just fine for me ever since I figured this out.
Overall, I would recommend this case to a friend.
