This is a little known book, written in the 1950's, when it was not particularly well received by the public and was not widely published. Today some of the instances referenced are dated and seem less likely attributed to UFO activity than may have appeared true in the 50's. Still, the Author gives a detailed and thorough account of many instances of possible UFO encounters over centuries of human history, and for that reason alone it is worth reading. It's been reported that one area where this book was received with interest was by the U.S. Military, and other national governments, at the time when the U.S. Air Force was publishing "Project Blue Book" in an effort to debunk UFO reports on the part of the public.
For those interested, there is version of this book on the internet that includes notations allegedly added by several mysterious individuals only referred to as Mr. "A", Mr. "B" and "Jemi". Speculation as to whom these individuals may have been, and to what purpose these editorial comments were made. The Author of "The Case for the UFO" was also involved in the "Philadelphia Experiment" supposedly conducted by the military, with dubious results, during the same 1950's period.

I like the way the story put all the time lines together but seemed like it was repetitive when they were added back together multiple times.

I, like most, purchased the kindle version. And as others have stated it is very difficult to separate the various comments of the three alleged contributors. It became easier for me when I just assumed that all the comments came from the same person, Carlos Allende with an identity problem, probably a schizophrenic (but who wouldn't be after going through that.

There's more than enough information in this book to keep you questioning things for a long, long time. Even skeptics will find this a fascinating read. If you are merely curious about UFOs or an avid UFOlogist, this is a great resource to take you to the next level.

I'm a Sci-Fi nut and found this read somewhat complex to read at first but eventually fell into the tempo of multiple authors entries in one read. Many directions, opinions and contradictions but mentally stimulating.

Pretty good book. I ordered the Varo edition, and didn't get it. That's the reason I only gave it 4 stars.

Wonderful book!

I have rated this book highly because it was well set up by the publisher i.e. they informed the reader about the source(s) and how the book was to be organized and how to get the most out of it. The original book was very well written in parts with items of interest and of course the comments (which make it the Varo edition) were fascinating.
