With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.
Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.
Cutting-edge technology combines modern design in this casio men's analog digital sport watch. Large push buttons on either side of the bezel make for easy operation, the durable, stainless steel case backgrounds a bold, black dial that features a world map time zone display, an analog sub-dial with arabic numbers every five minutes, and a bright, digital display with day, date, and month information. The strong, stainless steel bracelet fastens with an adjustable buckle for the perfect fit. With a countdown timer, five daily alarms, 12/24 hour formats, mute function, 10-year battery, and a water resistant depth of 330 feet (100 meters), this high-performance timepiece will accompany you for years to come.

Fun 80's styling, includes digital "analog" readout in top left and fun time zone world map.
Pretty close to the Metal Gear Solid V Seiko digital, which is now very expensive.
Long battery life (advertised 10 years.)
Many useful functions, including: world time, alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer, "illuminator" light.
Bracelet is easy to adjust. Removing links requires only a push pin and some pliers (not a dedicated tool.)
module itself is painted plastic
stainless steel bracelet is hollow link, not solid link
tremendous value for a very fun and eye-catching watch. I've received more compliments about this watch than most of my much more expensive mechanical analog watches.
-The big buttons are really easy to push. This is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it makes it very easy to use. On the other hand, it is easy for your wrist or forearm to inadvertently push the buttons.
-You can set the backlight to either be on only while the button is being pressed, or for 3 seconds after the button is released. One feature I really liked about the Atlantis is that if you held the Indiglo button down for a few seconds, it would beep, then the backlight would stay on for as long as you were manipulating any of the buttons on the watch, and then it would stay on for a few seconds after that. That feature kept me from having to re-press the light button if I was adjusting something.
-The alarm only sounds for 10 seconds before turning itself off. The Atlantis' alarm would sound for 1 minute. I haven't slept through the alarm yet, but 10 seconds seems like an awfully short time for the alarm to sound before it turns itself off...
Overall, I love this watch and am very happy with the purchase.

Compra recomendada.
it's exceptionally lightweight with fold-over links that are very well-made but have the Chinese version of fold-over links with the Big slab in the middle over which the link is folded but it's hard to see it cuz it's so well done and the band is a tapered band right down to the clasp. The head of the watch is actually plastic although it looks like steel and it has four buttons. It has various labels on the head of the watch which are Castillo and 10-year battery and wr100m which is water resistance 100 meters and alarms actually it says 5 alarms which is great and it has the word unbuttoned Mark light and there's a button Mart search although I'm yet to learn about that and most of this watch and it has a couple of others as well which are the words mode and adjust giving you enough hint to set the watch as I did. However there are two books one of which has a thick manual even though it's tiny it's included fully. I would recommend downloading the PDF file on your computer to more easily read it. On top of the watch it says world time and on the bottom it says illuminator. Underneath the watch on the back case it says Castillo and has a movement code and says stainless steel back so obviously the front isn't and it says water resistive 10 bar and made in China and the initials underneath that in upper case of EA, whatever that means. There is also some sort of etching or number in the watch band itself which probably indicates the model of the band but that's not significant to the end user. The back of the case is screwed down with Force screws with Philips heads by the looks of it. The watch band has a fold-over stamped clasp with a single locking mechanism but two button releases one on each side and the band is branded and stamped Casio. The adjustments on the watch band are four dots or holes to shorten or lengthen the watch band. the entire watch structure is attractive with the LEDs having very good high contrast for readability and one of the boxes in the watch face has a map of the world with a highlighting of what area or continent you are in. I'm in Montreal Eastern Standard Time which is the same as Toronto and New York so I picked New York time and it shows the east coast of North America highlighted with some sort of lobby. As best I can see it. The top left side has an interesting wheel that looks like a radar with what looks like a second time zone as well. Also it has a little black line going around in a circle which clicks off the seconds. The seconds are also times in the main numeric LED digital time indication. you can choose between 12-hour and 24-hour and for 12-hour the a.m. time has no markings but the afternoon or p.m. time says p.m. . The format of the date is three letters for the name of the day and then the next box over because they're both in boxes, has the number the month with a dash and then the date number. It's an interesting watch and a real classic that's simply being updated with different materials and methodology of construction to make it super light and inexpensive to make I imagine. However the bottom line is a senate ractive piece of retro technology on your wrist that serves a number of good functions.
just arrived at about 3 30 p.m. on Wednesday, vAugust 21st 2019
100 ft waterproof, 10 atmospheres, with 10-year battery life and 5 alarms and backlit and a map of the time zones and more. Of course, count up & down timers, world time and a whole lot more. And it's lightweight and it has a backlight and it has a 4 multi hole locking fold-over clasp adjustments for length. I figured out how to set the time and it has daylight savings time and on off DST. Lot of bang for the buck & the buck was real cheap. I think it was $34 bux. It has more functions than I know what they are or how to set them but comes with a couple of manuals that are pretty thick although they're really small. Very cool design with a lot of functions. The brand skmei has copied the look but it has far fewer functions and is a few bucks cheaper. This is the real deal and the original. Just an updated watch band.

It's a fun watch with almost too many functions and truly is a lot of bang for the buck. And if I decide to read the manual then perhaps I'll set a few of the five alarms and maybe use the countdown timer for a parking reminder. Otherwise it's a cool watch and it's backlit so if you're crashing out at night wear this watch and when you want to know what time it is, as long as you could see or your glasses are on, simply hit the top right-hand button and the back little illumination will kick in and make it easy to see. I've wanted this watch for a while and I saw a broker at a meeting for professional courses wearing one and I'm known for wearing different watches many of which I got at Amazon when that meetings and people look at mine but I was looking at his and now I've purchased it. It's a fun cool watch and it's very pragmatic. Meaning useful.
I have several watches in my collection, some of which are in the 4-figure range, so I have a rather diverse set of time pieces, mostly of the automatic variety, but this watch is undeniably cool. I enjoy wearing it, as it has a nice retro flare that a lot of "fancier" watches don't necessarily have, at least not in the same digital-watch kind of way.
My only gripe, perhaps, is due to the cost of the watch, materials can seem lacking. Plastic housing, as well as hollow links can make it feel rather cheap, and there isn't much weight to the watch. Having said that, I cannot fault it, as I knew what I was buying, and this is par for the course for this watch.
A great buy. Would recommend to anyone with even a passing admiration of this watch.
It has all the features you could ask for from a digital watch - stopwatch, countdown timer, multiple alarms, bright backlight, dual time. In addition the analog clock in the corner shows the current time whether you are in the stopwatch or other modes.
It may be a bit bulky for smaller wrists however, and this is the main reason I don’t wear it all the time. Plus the case is just painted plastic instead of stainless steel, but you get what you paid for and it makes the watch affordable for everyone.
What's most impressive is that whatever your impression is in pictures, it seems to be magnified on the wrist. If you think this is a cool retro-futuristic piece, you'll be me even more impressed once it's on your wrist. It also means if you find it repulsive, you'll find it more so on your wrist.
I myself love the look of this watch.
