Usage & Functions: Clock stayed accurate (with government clocks) to a point that was scary for a watch of this price. Over 6 months, it fell behind the NIST.gov site's time by only 5 seconds or so. Amazing. Now I know there are clocks/watches out there that can keep within 10 seconds of accuracy over a period of 10 years, but you really can't compare those with this, can you? The price range and class is entirely different. It's like comparing a cheap pair of sneakers with a sports car and saying the sports car lets you travel faster. The only disappointment about the functionality of the watch was that the digital screen could only show one thing at a time. I'm not complaining, but it would've been kinda nice if you could select a setting that made it bounce back and forth between showing the date and the digital time. But that's just me being fussy.
Ease of Use: Here is another thing that kept the watch from getting 5 stars. It's a bit of a hassle to use the first couple of times, particularly setting it. You have to set the digital clock, AND set the analog clock SEPARATELY. And setting the analog is kind of annoying. You have to press a button that most people CAN NOT press without a pin, and each quick push of the button advances the analog clock by 20 seconds, and holding it advances it by 20 seconds continuously. Kind of annoying, especially if you have to move the analog clock 12 hours. But not too bad.Read more ›
I would recommend
-The band is made from very comfortable resin material that you can easily clean if your hand was sweaty
-many holes in the band to fit any wrist size. I have thin wrists and this fits me well.
-4 selectable beeps for "top of the hour" beep, plus alarm clock
-the digital screen is positioned well without blocking too much of analog area
-settings are very easy to change using 2 buttons, you could lose the manual and figure out how it works easy
-no ticking hand to show seconds movement
-the color is a MUCH darker blue than in the picture, its almost black blue
-no illumination for night time
-the surface is plastic that will scratch if you accidentally put it in a pocket with keys or something sharp
I have always loved slim watches. I also want a simple digital display for the date. Yes it is inexpensive, but hey, it is one of the few slim line watches you can find. I do like the bold numbers and the simple, LCD display.
The only negative is that it does not have any back light capacity such like the timex indiglo. My previous Casio slim line had that feature. My last Casio slim line lasted 3-4 years. what more can you ask for $14 dollar watch?
I would pay $40-50 for a slim line watch with a mineral lens and metal shell instead of plastic, but they are just VERY hard to find.
CONS: 1) It's worthless at night, as the "luminous" hands and dial are indiscernible in the dark. 2) To set the analog hands backward, you need to press a button until it goes 11 hours forward. It's awkward if you change zones (travelling east is easy, travelling west - not so much). 3) The band is stiff, and therefore somewhat uncomfortable, and the end tends to stick out rather than stay captured in the hold-down loop.
This neat analog/digital water resistant watch has everything I need in a timepiece and is still running, and keeping very accurate time on the same batteries after five years.
I swim with it, kayak with it, etc, etc. Never let's me down.

For the price, this is a very nice watch that is lightweight and not too bulky.Published 17 days ago by Proud American
A nice watch! It's a little smaller than I thought but fits well. I wish it had a backlight but still, great value for this price range. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Khoa
I needed a cheap watch to wear at work. This one looked great and very basic which I liked. There's nothing special about it. It just does it's job which is tell time.Published 2 months ago by Mike Passignano
The watch functionality itself is very nice, but the plastic "crystal" scratches very easily and the brand clasp is cheap plastic and broke within a month. Read morePublished 4 months ago by jsgphd
