Pro:
- Cheap. I lost watches before on holidays. For this money, I am not worried.
- 10 year battery (No costs changing battery or making it water resistant again)
- Casio quality; meaning hacking, accurate and reliable
- Looks good wearing it with jeans or under a jacket. Ideal if you are on a business/seminar trip (fits under dress shirts) and want to visit the bar/market, go swimming or attend evening dinner. Unless you need to impress folks.
- Bonus: two-tone, so it matches gold or silver/metal accessories
- sunburst blue dial
- Indices are put (not painted) on

Con:
- I'm a hairy guy and this sucker pulls armhairs. The more lose the band is, the more it pulls.
- Date winow is a just ok.
- Lume is of no use. This is no Seiko dive watch.
- it does not ship with the plastic see through case (see picture). Might be an issue if you decide it's a gift.

In the end I love this practical cheap watch as much as my Rolex, Baume mercier, Omega, Eterna etc. Just hate the hair pulling.

Update 2018:
I got tired of this watch yanking at my hairs. I am going to get a Orient Mako or Seiko Padi

I have alot of watches and for 35 bucks it a decent yet classy dressy watch ,my only gripe is not that I am a big guy but the watch could be bigger not giant heavy,but bigger then it it iam gonna keep it oh the glowing is the hands the glow marker on numbers dont glow that much they should have glowed same as hands anyway I will keep it recommend it but if u have big arms it will be lost on wrist

I bought this so that I would have something that was somewhat dressy to wear with my nicer clothes, and this fits the bill perfectly.

PRO TIP: If you are going to take links out of the watch band I would recommend that you get two blocks (wood, books, legos, just something sturdy and square) that you can brace the band against (instead of using your thumbs). Then have one person hold the watch against the blocks and the other push against the pin with a finishing nail locked into some locking pliers. Using this method taking out the pins is relatively easy (it still takes a pretty hefty amount of effort though).

One other thing that I really love about this watch. The luminescent dials will stay lit all through the night... dimly, but you can still make them out pretty easily. I've never had to get another light source to read the face when I was in a dark room.

I am a Casio and Citizens watch buff. This was a little smaller than I expected and the date can be a little hard to read and it has no gizmo value whatsoever. But for $35 who am I kidding--it looks like a piece of jewelry, I love the two-tone band with blue face look, the crystal is of a type that is very hard to scratch or damage, the battery will last 10 years, it is waterproof unless you do something really odd with it, and it keeps great time, and it is extremely easy to set. Five stars plus. I should add that I understand the people who are frustrated in adjusting the band. I have adjusted several types of bands so it was just an interesting puzzle to me. What makes this one very unique is that it has the key-style instead of pin-style mechanisms to hold the links together, AND horizontal bars around which the ends of the links are secured. The band should be really really hard to break once you adjust it (or get it adjusted) anyway.

Lovely watch for very little money

This is my second of the exact same watch. I tend to be careless and watches die when exposed to me. So spending a lot of money on a watch does not make sense. This watch very pretty, Waterproof, and the band did not break. I bought this same exact watch 4 or 5 years ago. After much-unintended abuse, the band has still not broken and it appears to still be waterproof. The crystal is scruffed and some of the gold on the band is worn off. I never replaced the batter, and accuracy is slipping. So I just bought another. I am looking for more of the same with other pretty colors on the face. Green and red would be nice. Maybe I will even look after them.

I fell in love with this watch and wear it every day.

Pros:
- Fair price and affordable
- Stylish
- People mistakened it for a high end watch when they first saw me with it - LOL

Cons:
- The wrist band was too big, so I had to manually take off some links to fit my wrist size, and the links for this watch is extremely hard to remove.
- The window that tells you the date has a very bad font that makes it hard to read the number, its just too small and too thin
- Bad packaging, you will need to find a good gift box for it if you plan to give it to someone

Nice watch. Dressier than my Ironman which is nice for when I wear a suit. I bought mine in 2009 and just searched for my order to see the model so that I can look into replacing the battery. I notice it says 10 year in the description. I got 9, but who knows how old it was when I bought it. I was accurate up until a couple of weeks ago when it started running fast and now has stopped which is why I suspect the battery died.

Edit: it was the battery, watch has been running perfectly since I replaced it.

A little history. For the last 30 years or so, I have bought Seiko Sports series watches. They were the best , most affordable Rolex look alike.[IMO] I now have 5 of them in my drawer. All no longer working, still attractive, but not worth repairing. My experience has been as soon as you replace the battery, failure is just around the corner. My last one was Kenetic, so as to solve the batt problem. It just broke, after about 5 years. Not really complaining, as I feel I got a reasonable amount of service out of it, but ready to go in a different direction. This Casio has the look, 10 year batt, and no backlighting to eat up the batt.It's substantial enough feeling, without feeling too heavy. The clasp has a lock which would be difficult to pop open accidently. It has all the features I need, time and date. A tip on shorting the band, an ice pick was the best tool I found to slide out the locking pin.

When I first saw the image of this watch, I liked it, but I made the mistake of looking at it at night with indoor lights. When it arrived, It was slighly disappointing to see the gold was too brassy instead of copper gold colour. Two months on, perhaps the brassy colour has faded a bit or perhaps I am looking at the image on screen with diffused autumnal daylight because the screen image now appears still brassy whereas the actual watch colouring is less objectionable.

There are couple of other slight disappointments, and only slight. One is the watch is a third thicker than I had imagined, i.e. not as eligant. Secondly, the "glass" protrudes so it will probably get scratched sooner rather than leter. I was hoping to be able to read the time during the middle of the night with lights off but the luminosity doesn't stay bright for long.

It is a good price from Amazon but suggest to budget £14 as cost for adjustment of the bracelet strap by jewellers. Took it to Timpson initially, but who couldn't do it. The operator said it was impossible to get the pins out and he broke two of his small tools whilst attempting it.

Best of all (aart from keeping time accurately since purchase) ? Although I have size 9.5 hands, my wrists are small. This watch with mid-size dial is compatible with size of my wrist.
