Good for Basic Time Keeping Only
on April 22, 2014
I loved the look of this watch, so inspite of it being a bit on the pricy side, I bought it as the band on my nearly 10 year old G-Shock was giving out even though the watch was working as good as ever. I am a pilot with 30+ years of flying experience so I was attracted by the idea of actually having an "aviation watch". Bad idea! The problem with the GW3000B is that it is very difficult to use for anything other than basic time keeping. The stop watch is hopeless! It only records a max of 24 mins and good luck trying to know what time was recorded. Not because the dials are small, but because you have to read three dials to determine what the time is! This watch would be useless to use to fly a timed approach. In fact, it would be a liability. I have gone back to the latest version of my old G-Shock digital atomic. It may not look as sexy, but its functionality is bulletproof.
