Difficult to feed the paper!
on April 1, 2017
This calculator works well and I set it up with 4 AA batteries. However, it is NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to feed the paper. I finally got it to go through, but I have no idea what I did to make it work. My last calculator (the one that bit the dust) was a Canon and had the same problem, but I figured out what to do to feed the paper. You had to hold it at a 45 degree angle to feed it. I tried that with this one and it didn't help. I was really paying attention when I was trying to get it to feed. It just appears that it picks up the paper when it's in the "mood". I dread having to do it again, so I didn't use the little roll that was included with the calculator. Instead, I used a big roll out of the package I just ordered. I would recommend this if it weren't for this problem, but I just can't.
UPDATE: I just read one of the reviews where the person stated that if you curl the paper upward (I assume around your finger) that it feeds fine. If I find that is the case, I will update the review and recommend the calculator. It does otherwise work fine for me as I quickly purchased it to use with my income taxes. When I started them, I discovered my old calculator wasn't working. I don't use it very much so an inexpensive calculator like this one is perfect for my needs.
