I had borrowed this book from the library. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered it from Amazon (and it was refreshingly cheap!). The author uses a conversational tone which I enjoyed. She mentions steps that experienced cast iron users might know, but newer users would not, like preheating pans and when the cast iron is ready for the food. Hand-holding, perhaps, but I'd rather have my hand held than ruin a few meals en route to making a decent one.
