About the Author

Professor Juan M. Clark was born in Cuba in 1938, descendant of a family of Cuban, Spanish, and British origins. He participated in the fight against the Batista regime and hoped that the triumph of the revolution would be the beginning of a new Cuba, one where social justice and fraternal love would reign. Soon he was disappointed and eventually joined the 2506 Brigade that landed at Bay of Pigs in April, 1961. He was a paratrooper. After his release he studied Sociology in the United States and became a Professor at Miami-Dade College. Dr. Clark passed away in 2013. This book was published posthumously in 2016.
