This shelf was way better than expected! The wood is beautiful quality and color! It took about 15 minutes to put together with no issues at all!

I had originally purchased one similar from Pier One for $250, I didn't realize I would need two and did not want to pay $250 for another so I have been on the hunt for an identical one ever since!

The one on the right is the Pier One shelf and the one on the left is the Amazon one! And they look basically identical! Very happy!

Item came in great condition. Assembled my self in 20 mins. Dark color is fine. Only issue was that the shelf is in 2 segments, top and bottom and is a little flimsy when moving to room. It is also a nice tall shelf! Ordering a second one for another room!

I LOVE THIS SHELF! Shipping took a little while but was expected, wonderfully packaged, easy to assemble but on one part a pre-drilled hole was missing, easy fix for my husband. The only other thing was after attaching back brackets it creates a gap in the top and bottom pieces but once you load the shelves full of stuff it weighs the gap back closed. I do still definitely recommend.

Beatiful Unit and Great Quality for a Great Price

This shelf arrived packaged very well and I saw no visible defects or scratches, so right off the bat I was happy. The unit is a beautiful espresso color and the material is good quality, it looks more expensive then it was. My mother and I put it together in about 20 minutes and it is relatively easy. Had she not been there to help it would've taken a bit longer because the boards probably would've been hard to align to the sides of the unit without someone else holding it for me while I screwed them in with the Allen wrench. I do want to note that the shelves themselves do have a side that to me was obviously the bottom because it is not as smooth as the top side. The directions don't note that and I only noticed as I had attached the first shelf and was running my hand across it. That was the only issue we ran into, but very glad we noticed it right off the bat!

Love it. Wrote a previous negative review thinking the screws didn’t fit well but I bought a second shelf to match the first and I am embarrassed to say, the issue with the first was user error :/ With that said, I had to update my review to let everyone know I love these shelves! Sturdy and stylish. Definitely recommend them!

Just received this and assembled yesterday. The general appearance of the shelves looks nice enough, though the top and bottom portions are only affixed together by a set of small plates that screw into each part. Would have preferred this be sturdier.

My main issue is two-fold. 1. I didn't receive all the parts necessary to complete assembly. I was missing some screws to affix the final shelf, so that is currently unusable. I'm looking at options to resolve this. The second issue is, after assembly, the shelves don't sit flat on the ground, there's approximately a 1/4" gap on one of the legs. I've had to insert pads to get it to stand approximately flat. I'm sure, eventually, as objects are placed on it, the shelves will settle into a more stable shape, but I recommend you spend a bit more and get a better product. Would not recommend.

Love this! It is a great piece at this price point and was super easy to put together. It came with everything needed (except a screw driver) and took me about 20 mins. It seems to be very high quality and sturdy and looks great in my living room. The only word of caution is once you connect the top & bottom sections, be careful moving it as the two pieces are only secured in the back. I tried to pick up the whole unit from the top section to move it and the front started to come apart :). I would definitely recommend this or purchase it again.

Poorly Designed/Manufactured Product. Both Shelves I Received Had A Large Gap.

I ordered two of these and both suffered from the same issue. Because the top and bottom are two separate pieces, you end up with a gap between the two half of the shelf which is highly noticeable. It stems from the fact that the cuts are improper between the top and bottom halves of the shelf. Even messing with different screws, you end up with a half inch gap. I was able to tighten it down so the gap appeared in the back of the shelf instead of up front, but it was a colossal pain.

These shelves are kind of flimsy, but what do you expect for $40. These have been relegated to a spot in my office where you won't see the gap because it's hidden by my printer. I definitely wouldn't buy these again. This is a poorly designed product. Spend a bit more money and get nicer shelves.
