Having said all that, John Clement is actually a very talented writer. Instead of butchering the series his mother created by making his own editorial changes, he needs to start a series of his own. I gave this book a 3 because the story was good. I did not give it the 5 it could have gotten because of his disrespect for the characters and story his mother created. If I read this book as a standalone I would have probably given it a 4, because of Dixies poor performance as a petsitter. Other than that it was a good story and he is an excellent writer.
You have me absolutely hooked.
As usual a collection of interesting characters, feline, canine, feathered and human.
