I had hoped that by the time Chastity’s story came around that she would have done some softening – and that I could come to like her a bit more. Unfortunately, neither of those things happened. The lengths that she will go to in order to avoid this marriage are… astounding. She fights her own chance at happiness at every step. And I finally gave up on her. She has an amazing man in Stirling, a man who will do just abut anything to show her his love and devotion. While she does come around in the ending to care for him, for me it was too little too late. There is stubborn for a reason and there is mule headed in order to get one’s own way. I believe you can figure out which one I consider Chastity to be.
That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy Stirling and Chastity’s story. I did, in fact, enjoy it very much. We get answers to questions from the entire series, we catch up with each sister and see how their lives have changed in such a short time with their husbands. The story is entertaining and puts a solid ending to this series – with the hint of more of Sir Stirling’s matchmaking in the future. As for Chastity – well, I couldn’t like the character overly much, but I did enjoy the adventure of this series.
I’d recommend this series for any Regency Romance reader. Fun, charming, with wit and banter – you will find yourself entertained.
