This was a pretty good read. It wasn’t a favorite and didn’t WOW me but I have read or should I say tried to read a lot worse or I never even finished. I liked that Eleanor got to grow up free but it seems to me would be harder for her to find a husband as most men would be intimidated by Eleanor. This did have a good plot and I did like the characters. I didn’t care for how Frieda stated that both brothers were one to her. It seems to me it would cause more rivalry or at least hurt the two brothers egos. Each man would want to be known for himself. I did like the ins and outs for the most part.

Genre: Romance, Historical
I don’t read Historical novels often but like to dip into one every now and then, and this came along at just the right time. I did enjoy it but its not one I’d reread.
I liked Eleanor, a girl who’d been allowed to grow up without being moulded to society's conventions. Her dad adored her, had indulged her and she was the boy he didn’t have. Her mother died in childbirth ( though oddly Eleanor mentions having a few childhood memories of her....Clearly a child prodigy!) and its really just been her and her father since, plus of course the servants from the family estate. She does have an aunt she’s close to, though she lives in America.
Eleanor wants to undertake the journey her father took many years ago, they’d planned to do it together, and now he’s died she plans to do it in tribute to him. Her aunt is horrified and sends Rivers to escort her to America, and hopefully persuade her not to undertake the perilous journey. She’s already met Rivers, when he visited along with her aunt and there’s definitely a pull between them. He’s strong minded too though and when the two are set on opposing courses – well...fun times ;-)
Its a sweet romance, the historical side of it feels right, and I liked the characters. It wasn’t a story I fell in love with though, was one I could easily put aside to finish later rather than Have to finish Right Now!
Ultimately if you like a light historical romance you’ll enjoy it, but I really needed a bit more depth and drama to the story.
Stars: three, a fun, light read.

'Catch Me If You Can' by Juliette Cosway is the story of Miss Eleanor Craven and Peter Rivers.
Eleanor has been raised by her father who has let her have ideals, and on sometimes act like a man. Eleanor and her father are very close and her father except her as she is...which has made her act and do things that most women are not allowed to do. Eleanor is a independent women in her mind and does not want to be treated as ladies of her time are.
When Eleanor's aunt comes to see her and her aunt brings her business manger Peter Rivers with her...Eleanor is taken with him. Eleanor and her aunt plan for Eleanor to come for a visit her in America. When Eleanor father dies, Eleanor decided to move forward with her visit to her Aunts.
But Peter is sent by her aunt to escort Eleanor on her trip. Eleanor has other plans and so it starts them hunting and chasing each other...
This was a really great first book by this author and I cannot wait for more!
When Eleanor's father dies, she decides to visit her aunt in America. Her aunt sends Peter (whom Eleanor met previously and was attracted to) to escort to her home. But Eleanor has other plans and heads out on her own. Which of course causes all types of problems, including Peter having to track Eleanor down.
I really enjoyed this story! I enjoyed watching Eleanor butting heads with Peter and them of course falling in love. This was a great book by a first time author. I can't wait to see what she comes out with next!
