I was buying these in the small packs at Walmart but we live in the country and had a major mouse problem both in the garage and in the house and I was always running out. I can't stand mice and had tried everything, (except poison), without any real success. Then I found these glue boards. When I discovered I could buy them by the case I promptly ordered some. Unfortunately I got the small ones instead of these large ones so had to order again and made sure I bought these big ones. I tried the small ones...they're fine for bugs but for mice you need these big ones. I have had mice get off them, but not very often and they've caught hundreds of crickets and spiders. Even though I wish they weren't necessary, they're the best mouse trap made.

These are very efficient at catching crickets, mice, beetles and the like. Be careful with placement as they also can capture birds (robin, cardinal) who appear to be after the trapped insects. Mineral oil/ vegetable oil does dissolve the adhesevie when necessary to release a captive.

I've been getting Cave Crickets in my finished basement periodically for about 1 year now.

If you've ever seen one, you won't soon forget it's menacing look. Not only do they

not look like a friendly Jiminy Cricket, they make no sound at all, look like something

from an Alien Movie and Jump Toward you when trying to eliminate them.

They also seem to contain lots of green liquid which goes everywhere when crushed.

After doing some research, it seems that glue boards are the best way to contain them.

Not only are the boards working, which I placed on the floor of my boiler room and

unfinished oil tank area, but the other night I heard some shuffling and squeaking and

it turns out the board trapped a baby mole which had wondered in. Perhaps to eat some crickets??

I put the board into a plastic bag and drove to a nearby wooded area and freed the little guy.

Incidentally, there were several adult and baby cave crickets and inch worms on the board too.

Bare with me on this review and read all of it:

I have always had a problem with cave crickets in my basement. This spring an exterminator came and spayed some stuff all around the inside and outside to keep them away. She said this would work for a few months. She also put out some "Super Catchmaster" glue boards. These boards collected tens of cave crickets each! The boards say they catch mice, snakes and all kinds of criters. Mine only caught cave crickets.

Then I found some evidence of a mouse in my basement. I found some shredded pieces of foil from hershey's kisses and some bags of candy and grains that were eaten through. I bought some poisoned bait traps and cleaned up hoping that I'll either catch the mouse or see evidence again. I saw nothing so I assumed I had taken care of him or he left.

Then as my "Super Catchmaster" glue boards filled up with crickets I tossed them and bought this 60 pack of regular Catchmaster glue boards. One thing I did not noticed in the description is that they are peanut butter scented. This is not a problem for people as the smell is pleasant. I guess it is to entice mice. Well, this thing paid for itself in 1 night! I came into the basement to inspect how many cave crickets it caught and one glue trap had a cave cricket, the other had a big MOUSE! I had no idea I still had a mouse, but now I know. I disposed of the board and redeployed another. Hopefuly this was a lone mouse, a male mouse or a sterile mouse, as I hope I'm not living an H.P. Lovecraft short story: http://www.amazon.com/The-Rats-In-Walls-ebook/dp/B009MOZLDG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350246140&sr=8-1&keywords=rats+in+the+walls

I will update as I keep using the glue boards.

they have a slight smell, but i'm not in the habit of being down on my hands and knees sniffing the floor behind the stove.

For bugs, THEY WORK. I'm not posting photos, because EWW, but they catch all kinds of 6-legged critters. The glue is super sticky!! I've seen a JuneBug caught by just one leg. It's horrible, but it's impressive how well they work..

AFAIK I don't have any mice, as the boards haven't trapped any, but I hope my husband finds a mouse stuck to that board before I do.

P. S. I'm a cheapskate, so i cut these in half the long way (with straight edge razor, NOT scissors!) and lay them along the baseboards. No, you can't fold them up that way, so whatever it catches is right out there "in the open",

EDIT: 05/17/13 Well, surprise! I found a mouse on one of the cut-in-half boards today, so I guess I can endorse it for mice too. My husband took it outside and "dispatched" it. Again, EWW, but I guess it's better to find the mouse and remove it from the house than to find destruction and poop everywhere..

I use these around the garage to keep the Arizona scorpions at bay. they work very well for that, but you'd want a larger size if you're going after something too big. We had a lizard get stuck in one and the trap was 1/2 way across the garage by the time we found the poor guy. They call them baited, I think that's because they smell a bit buttery when you unwrap them, a lot nicer than some harsh chemical or glue smell. They can sit out & last for weeks if they aren't in a dusty area so this pack will last a long time.
