Don't waste your money. After receiving the splitters I found in the instructions a note that said that only one computer at a time could be used. Well, that didn't do me any good. While it was still hooked up to only one computer my wife was unable to maintain a connection to the internet.Tried all of the plugs on both splitters with the same negative result. When I replaced the splitter with the extender that I had been using, guess what? No problem. Terrible product. Later I found the same product on Amazon being sold by several different vendors. Some said straight up that it would not connect two computers at the same time, others did not. A day later I spent a little more for a network switch. We'll see if that works. In any case, these splitters didn't work with only one computer hooked up so, unless I got two bad pieces by simple bad luck, these splitters are worthless.

These looked promising. I ordered them, and they worked on my pc for about 5 days. After that, mine stopped working. I gave the second splitter to my roommate, and when he did a speed test, it came out at 10 Mb/s when we normally get 270 Mb/s and with wifi I get 100 Mb/s.
