They feel great out of the box. The break in period will not be very long with these. My toes have plenty of room also, which is odd for steel toe right out of the box.
Overall great boots I hope that these will last much longer than the Brazos brand I bought from academy sports. Brazos lasted almost 3 months (don't buy those). I hope to get a year out of these. Will update if any problems arise.
Glad to have a new set. I like to get a second set while the first are still usable and slowly break them in vs going all at once. Keeps the feet happy. The color is what I would expect having used these for years. I keep coming back to these due to they hold up. Don't think the boots are not good, they go bad because I am hard on them, really hard. The last picture are form the boots I purchased last year. Still very much usable at this point, hopefully I will get 4 maybe 5 months longer, out of them. The soles usually have no issue for me whatsoever. What happens is I usually wear the toes out, the leather over them. Thats nothing against the boot, its just how hard I am on them and the terrain I use them in.
As for sizing, I suggest a half-size smaller than your regular shoe size.
It is a work boot, I added a thin Dr. Scholl cushioning to the boot...it has a much better fit now. Feet are more snug in place, just right!

I would recommend these boots.
