Fit as expected, spent days in them right out of the box with no issue of any kind.
I was skeptical about buying work boots online but after owning this pair for four weeks now I am very pleased.
He says they fit perfect and with a little more wear, they will loosen up to his perfect fit.

I wear them EVERY DAY to work. I do construction/carpentry. I am lucky if my boots last 6months. These so far, it is February 2015 and NOTHING is wrong with them yet, Tread is good, leather is good, I even ran a saw across one toe down to the steal toe and that cut has never grown nor has it caused problems within the boot. As you can in my pictures the boots are worn but no major problems. I have also never oiled them or repaired them. The last boots I had the tread was nearly bare in 6-7months. These still have plenty of life left, I am very impressed, especially no joke, since I wear them 6 days a week and sometimes even sundays after church depending on what I am doing. UPDATE: 8/19/2015 (bought these April 23, 2014) Almost 16 months to the day, these boots have lasted me this long, just this week the sole came loose as shown in newest pictures. This is the longest boots have ever lasted me. Not to bad for 6 days a week, for 16 months.

My husband was so happy when I surprised him with these boots because of Caterpillar's great reputation and the great look of this particular boot. He loves them, however, he said that there is not much cushioning on the insole and his feet hurt early in the day. So, I was disappointed by that since comfort AND quality is what I was going for and what others here had said about the boot. We are looking for an insert of some kind to solve the problem. He didn't want to return them since he loves the other aspects of the boot. Would love a recommendation for a mid-priced boot, that looks good, is good quality, and is very comfortable all through the day. Does this exist?

This is my first day with these boots. First of all, NO steel toed boots are as comfortable as sneakers, they're just different animals. These are very comfortable boots for what they are though. They are super heavy duty, and heavy. They're meant for work, so that is a plus. I couldn't be happier so far.

    Purchased in July '12.
Right out of the box the boots felt a little "thin" on the insole.
Boots broke in in 3 - 4 days.
Were comfortable enough to wear and not too heavy for steel toes.
After 2 or so months, the insoles were completely broken down and my feet (right heel specifically) started THROBBING.
The foam padding along the top of the boot also started shredding.
The outer sole has remained in tact and held up well. The leather upper has also held up quite well especially considering all the bleach I work with.
I am in the water/waste water industries and on my feet at least 6-8; walking, standing, crouching, etc...
Was really hoping for a quality boot at a decent price, but I did not find it with the Cat Second Shift.

Very uncomfortable! Oiled down boots and began wearing them. I had to buy cushion insoles to try and keep feet from hurting. After 2 months of wear, the leather split above sole on the left side of boot. Needless to say I will not be buying another pair!

These boots r the best boots I have bought for my husband. His feet hurt him so badly and we have bought many boots bc he's On his feet anywhere from 12 to 16 hours a day. These boots have improved his feet soreness. I highly recommend these boots for a man on his feet all day. Great price for the quality of boot.

I've had these boots out in the construction environment daily for five months. They are the toughest boots I've ever owned. The amount of abuse they can tolerate and still come out looking "nearly new" is astonishing. With that being said, the factory insoles are miserable and need to be thrown away. Once you spend a few days on your feet it becomes apparent that major cushing is required to prevent the treads from imprinting on the balls of your feet. I finally settled on Rhino puncture-resistant inserts. They were the only ones that would spread the load and protect my feet to any acceptable degree.
