I did, and I keep going till I did not feel the strain on the top of my feet or they were manageable, problem solved well not actually. I find my feet have so much room they are rubbing against the heel of the shoes now; it has become slip and slide without heavy duty socks.
What does all this mean? Well, the shoe fits, but I have pulled what little padding it had and took the insert from my old shoe to make it work for me. I would also like to say it has been a great boot! An excellent soul that grabs the road and study construction, yet pretty lightweight in comparison to other boots I have had. I think it could be one of the smartest buys I have made, but that was with allot of work put into it. Also, this is my first week in them so let's see if they just need some more time to be broken in.
These shoes will not quit. It's been a year of mud, dirt, wet cement, more miles walked than a casual jogger might run. What else. Oh snow, dried paint, using a super abrasive brush to rub off some clingy patches of dirt. Oh I kick cement curbs as a method of getting crud off my boots. It's not effective, but I do it just to try and see if continued beatings will break these down. I've put these through the ringer and they won't stop being good boots. I simply got tired of looking at the same boots every day I put mt old boots away in storage, and ordered the same boots again. If you're required to wear steel toed boots a job, get these. They take a beating and don't wear down. Sole doesn't lift up. Some of the padding is thinner but what do you expect after waking 10 thousand steps a day in these things. Insoles will make them feel new. It's steel so it's heavier than soft toe boots, but I'd recommend tbee to anyone in the market for work boots.
Still wearing these after a year, and crazy amounts of use.
