"Unusual animal friendships are always fun and inspiring. A CatFish Tale also teaches important lessons about responsibility and compassion." --Tony LaCasse, spokesperson, New England Aquarium, www.neaq.org "This is a cute story. The lesson is never to leave a cat in charge of fish because the cat might eat the fish. Charlie should have brought the fish to college with him, but it turned out just fine. I liked this story a lot." --Lauren Sklena - Age 8 "Pack together one loyal cat friend with three fish and their fishlings on a trip from Cape Cod to Wisconsin. It's a whale of a cat-fish tale!" --Margaret Gardner, Children's Librarian, Boston Public Library "You'll smile - even laugh out loud - as you follow the story of these unlikely friends who are caring and responsible. Adults as well as children will love it!" --Louise Forseze, Peak Education Performance, Founder, www.peak-education.com "Through rhyme, illustration and probing questions, Kathy Brodsky offers up a delightful tale of friendship and kindness that will help nurture positive social skills in our children." --Richard J. Davidson, PhD, Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry, University of Wisconsin - Madison"
About the Author
Kathy Brodsky, a psychotherapist, poet, and award-winning author, writes and promotes quality books that are timely, visually exciting, educational and most of all fun! Teachers, therapists and parents use messages in her books to promote life skills and social awareness, and kids themselves request that Kathy's books be read over and over. Themes include: realizing we're all important, the power of friendship, diversity, change, social action, being responsible, safety, fitness, kindness, etc.
Cameron first met Kathy Brodsky, of all places, in his Argentine Tango class. While he was showing her steps, she was showing him plans for her first children's book My Bent Tree. "Need an illustrator?" he asked, and since then, the two have collaborated on eight books. Cameron also paints portraits and murals, holds a MFA from Lesley University, and has taught drawing and painting at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. He no longer teaches Tango; raising a daughter and son is enough of a dance to keep him busy for now.
