I was really hoping for more discussion of traditional observances of feast days from various cultures around the world. Not to say this book didn’t contain a decent amount of information regarding those, but you really have to sift through a lot of crafts and kiddie snacks and parades and games to find it.
I found the writing style much too chatty and casual. I think a lot of excerpts were taken in part from the authors bog, so I guess it’s to be expected. It’s a writing style that is more suited to short excerpts than to a “compendium”.
Just buy this book! And buy another for your best friend!
but with the finesse of detail that only comes from heaven, it arrived on our doorstep on Nov 1, All Saints Day...and what could be more fitting and proper for this book. 😍 Saints beget Saints. Thanks kendra.
