About the authors
Donna-Marie Cooper O'Boyle is a wife, mother of five children, grandmother, blogger, catechist, EWTN TV host, and popular international speaker who thoroughly enjoys her vocations of motherhood and grand motherhood and considers them to be sublime vocations. She feels passionate about inspiring and encouraging mothers, grandmothers, women, and families. Though she writes a lot for women, many of her books are for men as well. Donna-Marie also writes about Faith, prayer, family issues, the Church, and the saints.
That said, Donna-Marie never planned to be an author, TV Host or international speaker. But, she deeply desires to share the Faith and to help others. She has taught all grade levels of Faith Formation as a Catechist for almost thirty years and is an award winning and best-selling journalist and author of more than thirty book titles, with book sales headed towards half a million books (a few are translated into various foreign languages and also in Braille).
The author was invited by the Holy See to participate in an international congress for Catholic women at the Vatican in 2008 which focused on "Mulieris Dignitatam: On the Dignity and Vocation of Women."
Donna-Marie was blessed to know Saint Teresa of Calcutta for about ten years. They met on many occasions and shared a correspondence that spanned a period of ten years. Donna-Marie became a Lay Missionary of Charity (lay part of her Religious Order) and founded a branch of the lay Order. Saint Mother Teresa wrote the Foreword for Donna-Marie's book, "Prayerfully Expecting: A Nine Month Novena for Mothers-To-Be" (Crossroad Publishing, 2007). Mother Teresa endorsed some of Donna-Marie's books and encouraged Donna-Marie to write them and to continue to write other books as well, to help mothers, women, and families. Donna-Marie feels she should pass on the blessings that she has received from Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta and she strives to do so through her writing, talks, radio and television shows.

Some segments are now on You tube. The "Catholic Mom's Cafe" DVD is also available.

Friends who know me ask how I kept hope of someday finding a publisher during the raising of my five children, along with my commitment to run a business for nearly twenty years. I answer that a woman is by nature creative. Home, family and community are actually springboards to creativity. Aspiration is sparked by her heart, is strengthened her trials, and finds its way into the concrete world through commitment to truth.
My writing is concerned with error and Truth. When Truth is exchanged for lies of the moment, you have a story that begins in the human heart--when hatred replaces love because my new enemy doesn't look or think like me, when anger becomes a fist to the face of a wife, or child, or friend, when a hidden hand steals because what it has is not enough, when every hunger must be satisfied, when my place in the sun is secured by dishonesty. By the standard set in our hearts, these are failings. So, after our failings, what is possible? Contrition, forgiveness, and redemption. My stories contain these themes. They are stories about what it means to be an imperfect person in an imperfect world.

Her other professional experiences include acting, costuming, youth ministry, international scholar advising, and waiting tables. Jeff Young is the founder and producer of The Catholic Foodie blog and podcast. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jeff has lived in New Orleans for most of his adult life. He is a friend of many of the city's famous chefs, and co-hosts the Around the Table Food Show on CCR 690AM (New Orleans) and 1380AM in Baton Rouge. Jeff is also a conference speaker and has spoken on topics ranging from "growing in faith around the table" to "using social media in the New Evangelization." Jeff's first book is titled "Around the Table with The Catholic Foodie: Middle Eastern Cuisine," which is a collection of 78 recipes and stories about food, faith, and family in the Holy Land and around your kitchen table.
Jeff's thoughts on what The Catholic Foodie is all about:
"God created us to seek communion – communion with himself and with others – and one of the primary ways that we experience communion is around the table... the table of the Eucharist at Mass, and the family dinner table at home.
"From Genesis to Revelation, food plays an important role in God's relationship with his people. As a matter of fact, the Book of Revelation shows that we are all heading for a huge feast... the wedding feast of the Lamb!
"So The Catholic Foodie is about food, but it is not just about the food. It's the shared meals. It's the families around the table. It's communion.
"Today we are too busy for our own good. We are constantly on the run, and we eat on the run too. One of the major casualties of our hectic lifestyle is shared meals. From a purely natural standpoint, we can see this is not good. The results of eating on the run range from less time spent with loved ones to eating food that is just not healthy. But from a spiritual perspective, taking food out of the context of a meal has greater consequences. When we gather around the table for a meal, we share not only the food, but ourselves. Eating is a very intimate experience.
"Sharing a meal brings people together, literally and figuratively. Gathering around the table is one of the few times in life we sit face-to-face with people and have an opportunity to really connect with them.
"And here's the neat thing: God made us this way."

A fixture for many years in the Catholic Mommy Blogger world, Katie's contribution to prayer and meditation collections is not unexpected. Theresa Ceniccola is The Christian Mompreneur—a mentor to moms who are running a business that supports their values of faith and family. As president and founder of the International Christian Mompreneur Network, she empowers and equips moms to build profitable businesses through training courses, membership programs, masterminds and private coaching. A self-proclaimed recovering control freak, Theresa is on a mission to encourage moms take imperfect action and let go of guilt so they can experience the blessings of running a business while raising a family.
In 1994, Theresa discovered she could get paid to write -- on her own schedule, in her own home. Now, with 20 years experience as a marketing consultant and freelance writer, Theresa is officially “unemployable” outside the home. Her clients include corporations and non-profits such as Sentara Healthcare, Optima Health, Regent University and LifeNet Health. (Please don’t tell them she attends most of her conference calls wearing yoga pants and no make up.)
Theresa has a problem saying “no” to any project that nurtures courage, confidence and creativity, which explains why she’s been a Girl Scout leader for the past six years, a Destination Imagination team leader for three years and a volunteer for Girls on the Run South Hampton Roads since 2010.
Fueled by an adventurous spirit, Theresa loves to hike, run, bike and explore God’s country. But she is happiest at home, laughing and cuddling with her better half and college sweetheart, and their three imperfectly wonderful children.

I am Catholic. I am a wife, a mom, and a nurse. I am always on the go, I feel like I don’t have time for anything. I need God!! This book has exceed my expectations, it is exactly what my soul needed, super easy to read, the lines stay with me. Just buy it!
I would caution that mothers of adopted children (As opposed to biological) might feel that this book isn't 100% for them. But there are definitely some great reflections for all types of mothers.
