I don’t what made Katz think she could get married without incident and that’s not even counting the Siamese ring bearers. Cute idea but kind of crazy, lots of laughing.
I like that Ms. Golden has built her town with unique and quirky characters. It feels like small town life where you have friends and not-so-friends that you interact with daily. People that share your life and know your business whether you would like them to or not. I truly liked the neighborly attitude of the people of Erie and the way they pull together in emergencies and celebrations. It is so mid-western.
Katz sees the good in people, as with Stevie Sanders, who had been in a few of the books and it is nice to see that he is changing his life for the better. His sister, Barbie remains slightly flaky even though she has improved her life too.
Jake is such a sweetheart. He and Katz are a great match. The love and respect they have for each other and their cats is inspiring. I look forward to them tackling the next mystery together. Nine heads is better that one, three, five, oh you get the picture.
Kuddos to Ms. Golden for such an outstanding installment. I find that I thoroughly enjoy this series. Therefore my rating would be 5 Stars. If you haven’t read this book or series check it out, it’s worth the time.

I think I would have enjoyed this tale being a romance with Cats included. Leave out the mystery, it rather spoiled the tale for me.
And, I was annoyed by the double spacing. It made the chapters go on and on.
Once again enter Katherine's cat's. How do they accomplish all they do? Well this book really has them doing way more than every before.
This book has it all; someone is setting fires and Katherine while showing her foursection house observes a ghost. I love the writing of Ms. Golden she keeps you engaged and if your a person who can only read a few pages, you better clear your days because this page turner will grab you.
Suggestion: before reading this book, read the previous books in the series. This was my first reading about Katherine and her special cats. I will say it reminded me of Lillian Jackson Braun books. I loved the cats' abilities to help in solving the mystery and in saving their human companion. These are a smart group of kitties. I loved Katherine who kept her wits about her. Her friends were very supportive. I found the number of characters, their names and their personalities a bit overwhelming. It was only after I read this book that I learned that it was one of a series and perhaps it wouldn't have been as confusing had I read the previous books.
In this book the wonder cats have a first row role, specially Scout. And crows. And raccoons!!! There are fires, gun fights, kidnappings, a marriage and a helpful ghost. What else can you ask for?! Go for it! Buy this book, sit with your favorite pet and enjoy!!!
