When Erin lets down her walls after a particularly trying week of residency, she finds herself caught between two very different, but lovable, men: Simon and Jack. It doesn’t take Erin long to realize that both can offer her something she wants, and needs.
With Jack she has a past; years of friendship has resulted in them learning each other to the core and building a trust and respect that can only be gained with time. But Simon is her present as he begins introducing her to the finer points of BDSM, letting her into his secret world. She thrives on the therapeutic outlet it becomes in dealing with her struggles as a young, single woman, pulling long hours~and paying off enormous debts~in pursuit of her medical career.
What starts as a frolic of physical release quickly escalates, blurring lines. Erin is unprepared when her need and respect of the two men shifts, and romantic feelings begin creeping in . . . for both Simon and Jack.
With so many nuances and lifestyle adjustments, bumps in the road are expected, but I was floored with how smooth, how seamlessly the story shifted between scenes and moved forward. Well-written and well-edited, always a plus in my book, Caught in the Middle had me laughing, getting angry, longing for my own session, and even crying.
This story has it all. It portrays the BDSM lifestyle with class and grace, yet has no shortage of gratuitous sex for the erotica lover.Read more ›
Yes, this is a love story with a capital L. Is it a common one? Not so sure. Is it a beautiful one? Hell yes! You will get teary-eyed or you will cry, but those tears are just the beginning in the story -a start for something good, sexy and beautiful.
Kira Barker knows her sex scenes and the world of BDSM. She also knows that love and sex are raw, so why should you sugar-coat speaking about them? She writes very good dialogue and situational comedy that give you some good laughs. She writes strong female characters and has her way with words. Sentences such as "I'm not just in love with you." or "Yet." are so meaningful in this story that why don't you buy it to yourself to find out what they mean in it!Read more ›
Erin and Jack have been friends since childhood; Simon came into the picture later during college. Jack has always been there for Erin when life tried to drag her down. Her life as a surgical resident is very demanding and she doesn't have much time for herself much less a relationship so she's constantly feeling unsatisfied sexually.
One night, after a party, Simon lets her know that he and Jack want a three-way with her and also that he is bi and a Dom. Things go pretty well the first time the three of them get together. Next Erin agrees to "playing" with Simon as a submissive - something she's never done before.
This book has a lot of stuff going on, not only the triad's relationship but also that of Jack and Simon. Once I got into it I couldn't put it down until my ereader fell out of my hands when I nodded of in the wee hours of the morning. There is not really a cliffhanger ending; I consider it a HFN. There is a book 2 which I expect to go even deeper into the triad's relationship. I've just started reading it and will post a review when I've finished.

I gave it a three because it got slow in places. Also the characters didn't hold much depth. Not sure if I'll get the next one in the series.Published 6 months ago by Amazon Customer

I expect a little build-up to a story. This book just throws you in and expects to to know what's happening. There was no emotion involved between these three. Read morePublished 8 months ago by Jennifer
