It's a great book for fans of the game line myself and an invaluable start for coaches looking for a philosophy and starting point from which to build a flexible base defense.
There's plenty of explanations early on for why 2-high provides the best starting point followed by surveys of the weak spots and how the D can counter the typical ways offenses attack.
The website matchquarters.com is a necessary follow up for more details on how the scheme works
Fans of matchquarters.com will be familiar with the articles Alexander expanded into chapters, but there's enough new information to keep them interested. This is a must read for anyone who loves football.
