This puzzle seemed to be of a bit lower quality than competing puzzles from brands like Ravensburger or Pomegranate. In fairness, this Ceaco puzzle costs about half what puzzles from those brands do, but quality suffers. The cardboard backing material is thinner and pieces did not seem to interlock as securely. For a 750 piece puzzle, the pieces themselves seemed unusually small as compared with the typical 1000 piece puzzle. On the positive side, pieces were cleanly cut and fully separated from one another. Though this may be a minor point to many, the packaging is like a box of cereal, having one end that must be torn open. Ceaco claims this is done for environmental reasons, but of course it also saves costs for them. This means if you like to use the separate box bottom and lid for sorting pieces, you won't be able to do that with this puzzle. Finally, the illustration in this puzzle was not all that amusing when viewed up close.

We started doing these type of jigsaw puzzles as a family over the holidays about 5 years ago. Now I buy one or two every Christmas. It's one of the few things that a 15-year old will do that doesn't involve a power switch.
