There is no way these blocks could be used for their intended purpose unless you are willing to sacrifice all of your clothing and linens to oil stains.
I think I'd be better off just getting a piece of cedar from the hardware store, having them cutting it down, then sand them for a smooth finish & sanding any time it needs a scent boost.
I bought these and place them in drawers, boxes, cabinets and next to the shower. The silverfish are not completely gone but I went from seeing one nearly once a day to maybe once a month. I haven't used but a third of this purchase.
