Loving Ashe: 4 stars. It's sexy and sweet with secrets roiling around underneath.
Riley is an awesome heroine. She's about to meet up with her ex, an actor who dumped her to go off and become famous, when the elevator in his hotel quits and she's stuck in it with another actor, the gorgeous, sweet Brit, Ashe. I absolutely adore Ashe. He's swoony and sweet and sexy, and BRITISH! I love me some sexy British guys (Tom Hardy anyone?!?!)
But, there are lots of secrets that Riley doesn't know about, and when she finds them out, how will it affect her relationship with Ashe? What about her relationship with her ex? Or her relationship with her sister, Paige? Argh...so many, many secrets. Poor Riley. But, she's tough and she got through it all.
If you like your romance with sexy and secrets, Loving Ashe is the story for you!
Loving Riley: 5 stars. I think I love Loving Riley even more than Loving Ashe! It's from Ashe's POV, which is a much-needed perspective since Loving Ashe was all Riley's POV. Ashe is worrying about what to do for Riley on Valentine's Day. The man is such a sweet, swoony guy that he just can't help but to fret about this momentous occasion. But, pretty soon he has a lot more to worry about than Valentine's Day. His past has come back to haunt him. A past that Riley doesn't know anything about. And when she finds out, Ashe knows she'll be devastated. And she is devastated. Ashe knows he has to contain it, but how?
But, it's not just Ashe's past that haunt our couple. Riley's past is out in force, too. There are so many secrets swirling around, that it's a wonder the two ever made it to the other side still together. Thank God they manage, because I was rooting for them the whole time. They're such a great couple, have such amazing chemistry that it would have been a serious shame had they not made it.
Loving Riley is a great conclusion for Ashe and Riley. It's well written, excellently paced, filled with secrets, mystery, suspense, love, and of course good old fashioned sweetness and swoon worthiness from one of my favorite fictitious Brits. Thank you, Liz for giving this couple a great ending!
I voluntarily reviewed Advanced Reader Copies of both of these books.
Loving Ashe is the first book I've read by Liz and this is a very refreshing read. Our main character Riley has been in a massive heartbreak from three years ago and was just on the way to meet the ex who broke her heart when she got stuck in an elevator with a handsome stranger named Ashe.
Ashe is a real gentleman and continued to pursue Riley even though she felt he was too good to be true. She was even more surprised when she found out that Ashe is a famous English actor. As time went on, they did get closer and Riley felt she could no longer resist Ashe.
A lot of things were revealed near the end that ties Riley to her ex, as well as her sister and brother-in-law. These revelations were heartbreaking and utterly shattered Riley but she's got Ashe to support her.
I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading the next book, Loving Riley.

Loving Riley (Book 2):
Loving Riley follows on from Loving Ashe. This book is mostly written from Ashe's POV. Ashe and Riley are happily in love but Ashe's past has come to haunt him. It was shocking to everyone but especially to Riley. Ashe should have come clean about his past when he had the chance.
A lot is at stake for Ashe and he's decided to come face to face with his past to try and put a stop to it. Not only has Ashe's past reappeared in his life, Riley has been finding out more and more about herself and her past too.
Liz has managed to mix each person's story and weave them together in this book. It was a very enjoyable read and though the ending was quite conclusive, some questions were left unanswered. I'm sure those will be addressed in the next book.
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)
This was the first book I read by Liz Durano, and I was really surprised. The story and the characters are very well written. And despite being a long read, I couldn't drop it until I finished reading.
The story begins with Riley stuck in an elevator, on the way to find her ex-boyfriend, Gareth. Little did she know that fate would nail a play on her and make her stay in that elevator with the actor Ashe Hunter, whom she didn't know was famous.
They begin to know each other and things get really interesting. Ashe is a perfect man, doing everything to show Riley that she's worth it.
The twists of the story made me very surprised, and with some characters I felt a love-hate relationship at the same time, for all that they made Riley go through.
I loved the triplets, Paige, the coffee team. All characters are very interesting and essential to the story.
I loved the unfolding of the story and its end.
Again we were able to follow Riley and Ashe's life. After all the events of the first book, Riley is focused on her work and her relationship with Ashe, and finding out who she really is, but Ashe's past reappears to put some doubts in everyone's heads, including Riley's.
When some secrets are revealed, will love be able to overcome everything?
I loved the story and the unfolding of all events. The twists surprised me a lot, but it was great to read about all these characters again.
I highly recommend these books.
