After reading the warnings from other reviewers of taste and strength, I was prepared. I bought a single bottle from the local convenience store. About 30min before bedtime, I took my chilled bottle from the fridge and poured half of it into a small tumbler, and filled the tumbler with chilled water. Anticipating a medicine-like experience (it doesn't say tea on the bottle, folks!), I drank the 6oz mixture. It wasn't bad! It actually tasted like a juice product with a short-lived after-taste of medicine. Because it was diluted, it has a pleasant level of sweet and juice flavor. I started feeling a little sleepy within 5 minutes, and I have a half bottle left for next time. Recommended!

The opposite of an energy drink. I'm in love.

This stuff will knock me out in 10 minutes on nights that I can't fall asleep--without that gross groggy feeling that you get from regular sleep aids. I wake up COMPLETELY refreshed when I take one of these.

I alllmooooossst want to knock it down a star for the taste (I've only tried the Lemon Ginger) but this isn't really a beverage, it's a supplement. I repeat: this is a SUPPLEMENT, not a beverage.

Here's the trick for the taste: It tastes pretty good, actually, as long as you're expecting it to taste "herbal", rather than whatever the name of the flavor is. It DEFINITELY does not taste like tea. It doesn't have the weird artificially chemically taste of liquid medicines like cough syrup, which is super nice. And if you don't like the taste? It's only a few oz, just plug your nose ;)

The taste has grown on me after a few bottles--I'm not sure how to describe it, though. If you were to take one of these and GUESS the flavor without looking, "lemon ginger" is not the descriptor I would use. I guess it kind of has that herbally aftertaste that some energy drinks have (irony?)

I saw this on the shelf of Wal-Mart today while I was going to purchase some Dream Water and thought "Hey, Celestial Seasonings has a sleep aid! How cool!" I almost gave a friend one of these, but instead gave her one of the Dream Waters I'd purchased as well as this. Good move on my part, as I think I'd probably have lost a friend if I'd given her this.

This has to be one of the most disgusting things I've ever drank in my life, either on purpose or by accident. And I've accidentally tasted liquid ashtray. (I've never forgiven my sister for putting her cigarette out in my Diet Coke and have yet to trust her around any open bottles.) If I had a gun put to my head and I had to pick either a sip of liquid ashtray or this, I think it'd be an awfully hard decision on my point. What made this worse is that this is sickeningly sweet. It has a strong cane syrup taste, which I think is there to mask the taste of old herbs and roots. It doesn't work.

I found this drink so horribly disgusting that I didn't even finish the bottle after the first gulp. I didn't even finish the gulp- I spit it out almost immediately. It was that bad. While I don't expect nectar of the gods when it comes to any drink that is supposed to keep you awake or put you to sleep, this is particularly disgusting. I can't say that word enough: DISGUSTING. It's so bad that I'm actually going to take this back to Wal-Mart the next chance I can so I can get a refund.

Then there's the other thing- each bottle is 30 calories and has 7 carbs to it, something that is sort of overboard for something this small. Let me break it down for you this way: this is two and a half ounces and it actually has about the same calories and carbs in it than 2.5 ounces of regular Coke. (2.

Well I thought I'd give this a shot because I do try a little bit of everything. I bought it from Walgreens. I thought maybe the previous reviewers were just sensitive to the taste. but THEY WERE RIGHT! no exaggeration...it tastes AWEFUL! It's got the STRONG herbal taste to it. I tried to just down it, thinking I got almost to the end of the bottle. but when I looked, there was still quite a bit left! There was no way I could finish it. I thought of mixing it with water but I was afraid that would make it worse. Needless to say it didnt help me sleep at all. I dont think it's because I didn't finish the bottle because another reviewer claimed they only needed half the bottle. I drank more than half. HORRIBLE!!!

I tried this last night for the first time and I fell asleep fast and slept pretty well. However, after I got up I had to go back to bed and sleep some more and it is now 11am and I am still feeling sleepy. So the bottom line is, it works, but consider trying a half dose for the first time you try it.

It did help me relax, but the taste was so VILE. It tasted horrible. It was sickeningly sweet with a somewhat oily texture. There was a hint of honey, but it wasn't enough to cover this vile flavour. UGH. They really need to make this taste better. There's no reason for it to be this icky. I think the Sleepytime tea with Valerian is much better. It relaxes and makes me feel drowsy and it doesn't taste revolting.
