In short, these binoculars are minimally useful but only just so. They seemed to be designed for sale and not for real use. Celestron really shouldn't market items of this quality (nor should anybody else for that matter). All in all, it is better to either pay more for reasonable good quality or do without than to buy something of barely acceptable quality.
and but not so suitable for astro watching, i use it daily to see far away mountains, birds, and sign boards, i love my binos
Sadly, those expectations had not been met as they had a cheap look and feel to them.
The accessories that it came with also let it down, especially given that the case has very little padding.
Although they were full sized, very lightweight and had a standard design, the optics were very poor overall and they were not that clear and had a narrow, dark image with a poor focal adjustment capability.
All in all a very poor product and one that I would certainly not recommend.
Verdict: Did not meet expectations

I'm not a pro at binoculars and do not need any heavy duty, super long range, black ops sort of thing, so these fit the bill nicely to go into my BOB.

If you are looking for something closeup these do the trick. But there is very little field of view so just expect to see a bid or something. No scenery around it.Published on April 27, 2013 by Randall Carlson
I purchased this item from Amazon but unfortunately returned it the same day. The binoculars are very well built in my opinion but fall short optically. Read morePublished on February 17, 2012 by Esel
The binoculars don't have good optics. The crystal is BK7, the economical type.
Better look for crystals type BK4 which are used in more expensive binos. Read more

Don't bother with these binos. I got them based on reviews/price and they are going back. The image is tilted to the right. Can't focus properly. Read morePublished on October 4, 2011 by mobo
