What can I say? These are two truly talented lyricists, the very best of what New York has to offer. If you've never heard their work before it's basically what would happen if you mixed Twista with Dead Prez. I have been listening to rap/hip hop since birth and I can promise you that I have never heard anything like The Underachievers, jaw droppingly slick lyricism, an amazing silver tongued flow, lyrics that are deep, and a totally original sound, their lyrics mixed the gritty futuristic production is a match made in heaven, or paradise or whatever, either way it's Great, deserving of more than 5 stars honestly and they stray away from the mainstream rap scene or "crap rap" as I like to call it. This album is a knock out from front to back. The only disappointing thing I can say is that this album will not get the recognition or accolades it deserves. For the most part the masses are brainwashed into believing that crap that they play on the radio is the only thing that's out there, The Underachievers prove this is untrue and actually give me hope for the future of hip. If you're reading this, to the Underachievers I say THANK YOU for this classic!

If you liked "Indigoism" by UA then you will love "Cellar Door" it's basically Indigoism without all of the filler songs that basically iterated the same topics. It still does that but their flow is a lot cleaner and clearer than in Indigoism. Great album.

3rd official release from The Underachievers and like the two before, The Cellar Door is on point lyrically and musically. Issa and AK have great things ahead of them.

The Underachievers come through with probably they're most consistent project yet. They're previous two projects, while totally awesome had some tracks I skipped. This on the other hand doesn't have any tracks (though if not in the mood I'll skip chrysalis). I really don't know why but every song on this album feels really natural as well as eerily enticing at some points(that hook on caprice doe). With there only being a dozen and so tracks allows for Issa and Ak to put together a perfectly crafted album with a pleasantly seamless experience!
