I am doing a review because before I purchased this I wanted to know what it would look and fit like in a 2013 Ford F-150 Fx4. See pictures I posted with this review. It looks decent and it fits snuggly. I have my iPad mini in it with a OtterBox Defender Case and it seems like it’s all going to work well.

Bad articulation makes this phone holder pretty useless.

While the phone holder is solid and well built, it is lacking useful articulation. The arm has only one hinge joint - that means that it is impossible to angle the upper arm towards you, and still be able to see the screen. This is problematic if your cup-holders are near the dash, like mine.

If I angle the upper arm away from the dash, the screen either faces downwards or away from me, which is totally useless. I cannot angle it away from me, because it hits the dash. Thus I have to keep it completely straight up, which kind of defeats the purpose of having joints. :(

The inclusion of a hinge joint up by the phone would have made this a great holder. As it is now, it is useless. Will be finding something else to use.

Like this product very much! I would rate it higher, but since I never trust five star reviews, I never read them. I read 2, 3, and 4 star reviews mostly, because every product has a few drawbacks. I want to know the truth. Most 1 star reviews are written by people without the wit to read directions, so I discount those. This is working like a champ! It cradles my phone, and is easy to disengage. It's base is adjustable, and fits my F-150 ash tray slot very nicely.

Love,Love this cup holder!!!! I took back at least 3 other types to another well known store ( a window one with a sticky seal that I did buy on Amazon, another goose neck with window suction, and the air vent holder style) - hated them all for various reasons. Hard to find a cup holder one and yes, you do lose the cup holder when using...........BUT, I only wanted for using Google Maps and when I use that app, I was putting my cell phone into the cup holder anyway and picking up when I needed to glance at map closer. What I love about this cup holder one is the profile is low, the bottom part that goes into cup holder is completely adjustable with a twist of a part of it while in the cup holder so you can easily get a perfect fit. Also like the button that opens the cell phone holder part- it doesn't just snap open but goes open as if it is electronically done, really neat. Everybody's car is different and the middle sections different so I can't vouch for it working in all cars. My shift automatic handle is in the middle and also the emergency brake handle, plus the 2 cup holders and works fine.

This is a product that completely fulfills the advertising promises. There was some concern about losing a cup holder, but the utility of this mount was demonstrated on a recent trip. The mount held the cellphone very snugly, and the phone was held at an angle and height for easy manipulation and phone selections, AND the screen was at a distance for easy readability. The design and location in my car is better than any other mount I have tried regarding distractions and eye movement away from the road ahead.

It is easy to set up and holds my phone with a leather wallet case! I have some cards in my case and I have to fold the main flap to put it in the holder but it fits. Although it feels like it is not stable it never fell even when going over bumps. I think the friction of the case with the holder is what makes it stay in place. It is perfect for my CRV - I like its height. It is just below my car screen and at a comfortable level for viewing without blocking anything. I tried another holder that was supposed to be on the dashboard but it would have blocked my windshield view.

One of the best cell phone/GPS holder out there. I like how tall it is. It has two arms that can be extended and not a goose neck that can be broken after some time.
The arms once extended it reduces if not eliminating any vibration when I am driving my mini bus.
It accomodate my cell phone with a wallet style pouch no problem.
I am happy to find that it is US made and I support that as a citizen of North America. For som,e the price may seem high but believe me the quality is decent and the warranty will back you up in case you need it.
It is great and I am happy.
Con:
1- the holder clamp button is sticky sometimes. I had to tap it to get it engaged. I contacted the seller and send me a replacement for only the holder part.
2- very hard to take off the holder part once installed. Not a clever design here. But it is very secure.
3- the holder can rotate 360 degrees in a circular motion yes, but it will not rotate up or down. The arm yes will go up and down but not the holder part. It needs an improvement here too.
Overall for what I use is 4/5 stars.

The only downside I have - since I drive a manual transmission, the gear switch to 1st and Reverse gear would bump into the holder. Overall, item was exactly as described and feels to be pretty good quality. It is a little bit wobbly when moving the vehicle but not really a huge problem. Sits perfectly in my work trucks cup holder. Lighter tablets would be better but I’m iPad Air 2 with a shock case seems to to be pretty heavy for it BUT it still does the job. I would recommend and thinking of getting a shorter one to hold my Bluetooth keyboard as well.
