Editorial Reviews

Celtic Woman goes solo and stretches beyond the purely Irish for this collection. Mixing classical pieces (Vivaldi's 'Rain' (from The Four Seasons), 'Jesu Joy Of Man's Desiring', Brahms' 'Lullabye') with pop ('Someday', Don McLean's 'Vincent/Starry, Starry Night ') Chloe's album is soft and accessible without sounding overly sentimental.

Special Features

  • Track list: Walking in the Air, The Prayer, Nella Fantasia featuring David Agnew, Someday, Vivaldi's Rain, Going Home, Panis Anglicus, Vincent (Starry Starry Night), Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, To Where You Are, One World, Sigma, Winter's Light, Brahms' Lullaby
  • Bonus track: Gabriel's Oboe

I received a copy of this DVD when it was only available at the Celtic Woman concerts. I didn't know that
Chloe had a DVD, so a very generous fan was kind enough to send me a copy.
This DVD is a must for any Chloe fan! It is nice to see Chloe in her own clothes, instead of the lovely gowns that she wears at the concerts. The DVD is shot in Ireland, and the scenery is beautiful!!! I can't recommend this
DVD highly enough.

The things that drew me to Chloe when I was watching the Celtic Woman specials on PBS were her pure, angelic voice; her songs that she sang, since I liked them a lot; and the fact that we were both the same age, so she is one of my inspirations to be a singer. I had found her CD a few months back at Borders, but I hesitated. Then, I wanted to get it, but I couldn't find it anymore. Imagine my excitement when I found her DVD. I didn't hesitate this time. When I watched the DVD, I was definitely enthralled with her voice; however, you could tell that not much money was put into this production. Although the Irish countryside was breathtaking at times, production should have been better. The video for "The Prayer" to me was the most laughable, because she was on the beach holding an umbrella, and there were random shots of people. This is a must for all Chloe fans as a piece of memorabilia, but in my opinion, it would be better to buy her CD instead!

I bought this video thinking that it was one of the other Celtic women, but was not dissapointed at all. Chloe sings like an angel and the dvd had some very beautiful scenes of Irland. I would recomend this video to anyone that enjoys excellent music.

If you wish to be entranced by one of the finest classically-trained voices in the world today, this is the DVD to go for. It is also quite pleasant that she is easy on the eyes and the videography is restful and relaxing. I have these same selections on my iPhone and fall asleep to this angelic songstress; what bliss.

I absolutely love Chloe!! (and her deep blue eyes), but many of the videos are poorly shot. She has her hair blowing in her face often, and it looks like there was only 1 or 2 cameras taping her. Some of the scenery is nice; some of her outfits are nice too, BUT... not all of them. Overall if you like Chloe you will still enjoy this DVD and hearing the songs, but the budget for this DVD was undercut.

Chloe herself is simply enchanting. What a beautiful voice and countenance. But the production of this DVD doesn't measure up to what Chloe delivers. I find the production varies from song to song. Some are well done, others not. For instance the very first song, Walking in the Air has volume fluctuations ; note (for instance) the sudden volume drop at 2:46 into this DVD. Also, there are a succession of abrupt changes in scenescapes which do not mesh with the theme of dreamily walking in the air. But I enjoyed the flying through the clouds scenes when they appeared. At 14:25 and other places in The Prayer there are other noticeable volume fluctuations, enough so that they were distractions. (I don't have the CD so I don't know if these production errors are there as well.) It's the same with the song Vincent and To Where You Are. On the other hand I loved how the song Sigma (with the waterfall) was produced, as well as Vivaldi's Rain. The DVD ended with the bonus track Gabriel's Obo. Great song, liked the player and his instrument, but to finish the DVD with this song, which has only close ups of the obo player, relegating Chloe to the distance, and with the very last scene being a close up of the obo player no less, is just not the right choice for finishing this DVD.

In short, I wish the video production was better done, and in high def to better capture the beauty of the land of the Celts. The sound production has flaws, strangely. But Chloe herself, her enchanting and sincere voice and countenance, makes this DVD a worthy purchase.

I have never listened to any of the Celtic Woman singers and not think that they were excellent. I have several of there CDs and DVDs. Chloe has been with Celtic Woman for as long as I have been following their music. Someday I will own every one of their CDs and DVDs - if that is possible.

I just saw Celtic Woman live for the first time, and the experience is like nothing any DVD or PBS special can give you. Chloe is so honest and genuine, you can tell she absolutely loves what she does and it is infectious. While all the women and the musicians radiate a love for what they do, Chloe stands out in all she does. This DVD is a great way to get to know the amazing woman behind the voice.
