The swagger of John Wayne behind a ship-flying Marshall - out for justice at any price. It has the legit feel of the Old West without being sappy or feeling forced.
Although the entire story line and character set is vastly different, it has the feeling of Firefly - the Sci Fi series, and I think this would make just as good a TV series; and we are really about due for a new space series.
There is room to go both into the past and into the future with these characters - so I hope there are more installments ....
I look forward to a whole series of Heck Thomas ...
Although I did not find it personally pleasing, there is sure to be an audience for this kind of "cowboy/future/lawman" story. It draws, a lot, on"history" which, again, May be attractive to some readers.
To pass the time, is OK. Not my cup of tea.

Not especially fond of Sc-iFi. But, this held my interest by it's presentation.Published 2 months ago by dickb

A good book to get lost in. A great western updated to the future. Not very deep, but enjoyable just the same.Published 9 months ago by William Mumper Jr.
I don't like science fiction, so I considered fewer than 4 stars, but the writing is good and the characters are OK. Read morePublished 10 months ago by David Carlyle
While this is an OK read,... it's not really "book length". This and "book 2" probably should have been published as one book. Read morePublished 10 months ago by Amazon Customer
TB has written a SyFy Novel about a Space Marshal who is framed for terrorism, murder and being a traitor. The action begins on the first page and doesn't end. Read morePublished 10 months ago by Amazon Customer
I tried to start this book twice and still haven't made it past the first chapter. It just didn't "grab" me.Published 14 months ago by Melissa C.
