Product description

Product Description

Get realistic training with BOB, the Body Opponent Bag. BOB XL has a longer torso than the original BOB, giving you more striking surface for body shots and kicks. Base fills with water or sand and is rounded for easy relocation.

Have you ever seen a more punchable face? Probably not, since you’ve seen this face get punched, kicked, shot, and stabbed on any number of movies and TV shows. John Wick uses it to home his wetwork and the heroes of the Arrowverse have tested their superpowered might against it. BOB is everywhere.

BOB is resilient and reliable. A training partner that’s always there and can take it on the chin. Literally. A heavy bag will do wonders for your workout, but sometimes you need to know that your cross will land where it needs to. That your uppercut is accurate. That your shots to the ribs hit hard and are well placed.

BOB’s versatility is fully realized as the quintessential freestanding system. Move it around the gym or keep one in the garage. Any environment, BOB’s available. Plus, he’s a good listener.

Features height adjustments from 60 inches to 82 inches tall.
Mannequin - 40" x 15.5" x 10.5"
Base - 24" Diameter x 19.5" Tall
Approx. 270 lbs. when filled with water

Work the entire upper body with the extra-large Century Body Opponent freestanding heavy bag. Unlike most heavy bags, the Body Opponent looks like an actual person, with a life-like face, shoulders, chest, and stomach. As a result, it's easier than ever to get motivated for your sparring session, with a long torso creating more striking surface for body shot training. The bag is made of high-strength plastisol filled with urethane foam, making it extremely durable over time. It's also stable, with a polyethylene base that fills with approximately 270 pounds of sand or water. Despite the weight, you can still move the bag fairly easily by flipping it to the side and rolling the round base. Equipped with multiple height settings, the Body Opponent bag is ideal for home, apartment, school, or gym use.

2.0 out of 5 stars Last about a week
By Matt D on May 27, 2020
Great for precision, but doesn’t last long. I had a usable bob for barely a week and it already fell apart.
First, the base showed up broken. I contacted the seller and they kindly and promptly sent a new one. Week delay in using the bob? No problem. I’ve waited for so long, I can wait another week. They were nice and professional.
Now the bob. After a week of using it, it detached from the inner tube, just ripped off from it leaving holes in the back. The inner padding bunches up under the skin and now every time I punch him, he spins around and white stuff falls out of his back. It’s also impossible to take him off or adjust the height because he just slides off the inner tube.
$450 this thing cost, don’t forget. Got a week out of it. Costly venture.
The only reason it’s getting two stars is because of the seller’s responsiveness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best fake training buddy I have ever had
By Andrew on August 13, 2016
I purchased BOB 2 months ago.
I practice Krav Maga on a regular basis but also wanted to train on my own at home.
I used to workout as shadow boxing or without anything to hit, this bag just brought my training to another level.

Pros
- Aim real sensitive targets (groin, ribs, throat, chin, eyes, solar plexus, etc.). You can apply pressure on these parts.
- Height is adjustable. Take into account that the higher the louder when you hit.
- Soft - doesn't hurt even without gloves.
- The torso is removable from the dock for ground training. I also do use BOB for CPR training. Even if you can't blow air and see the chest inflates, it's still great for training purpose. You can press the chest (below the nipple line) and feel a resistance similar to a CPR mannequin.
- I love the head and facial expression. Feel like I am training with an angry man in front of me, that helps.
- Ideal for full force air or blood chokes training. Before BOB, I had never really tried to execute a full force choke.
- The base can be filled with water or sand. I choose water because I live in an apartment. Just tip BOB to remove the water, it's easy.
- BOB never complains about anything, whining free.
Cons
- At the beginning, I found it tricky to adjust the height. Need some times to get the hang of it.
- Even if the base is filled to the maximum capacity, the base still slightly lifts off the ground.
- Not ideal for instep kicks / groin kicks. Keep banging my foot against the stem.

Bob doesn't replace the feel and learning from a real sparring exercise. Yet it does a fantastic job to train when you are alone. I also train knife, chokes attacks / defenses. You have to be creative, but this gives extra opportunity to practice.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dopo manco due anni di attività BOB lascia per ferita
Reviewed in Italy on March 24, 2016
