UPDATE 2019-08-09: Seems that they’ve changed the product they are selling. The product I purchased had connectors at both ends but now it seems they’re selling it with only one 14-50 plug. I don’t understand why the seller would do such a thing. It’s misleading!
Ordered this extension to charge my Tesla Model 3 as my 240V outlet was a little too far out of range. Got this extension for 40$ w/ free shipping and it’s a grear deal!!! The cable itself is rated for currents up to 500V and it shows 😛 It’s pretty heavy and about the size of an adult snake.
As for charging my Tesla, so far it’s worked perfectly. While the cables ln the charging kit itself gets warm, the cable for this extension doesn’t warm up one bit! It’s heavy duty alright and a great deal for the price. Highly recommended to any Tesla owner!!!
Extended an existing RV 240v/50amp outlet - ran bare wire end through schedule 40 PVC and wired another 14-50r outlet in the end. Have 240v charger plugged in to this extension that charges a 2020 Chevy Bolt. Can unplug from the original rv outlet and plug rv in or unplug and plug in extension to charge Bolt. Works well.
I needed it for my ev charger. Most chargers say not to use a extension cord with them, but this one gets the job done. 6 gauge wire will give plenty of power when needed. I use it with a 7.6 KW EVSE on a 50 amp circuit. No overheating and no power loss.
Perfect solution! I purchased this extension to charge my Tesla when my wife is parked in front of the garage. Now I can charged parked behind her without having to move our cars. Thick quality cable so I don’t have to worry when closing the garage door on top of it.
Would have loved to use the cable, but it didn't comes as shown in the picture. One side had a plug (can't remember if it was male or female), the other side just had the individual cables hanging. Wasted of my time.
The product is exactly as advertised, it is flexible enough and heavy duty for 50 amp service. Used it to upgrade my 1975 Airstream electrical system from 30 amp to 50 amp. I had already upgraded to a new breaker box with more capacity for circuits.
