Excellent! No GAP in plates!

I have owned MANY different brands of flat irons in my lifetime ranging from inexpensive to expensive. I have natural curly/frizzy hair that I normally wear stick straight. I have come to know which brands I really like. I was on the search for a 1/2 inch since I recently cut my bangs. It’s hard to find a 1/2 inch actually. After carefully reading the reviews, I chose this one. It got the job done. I slid it though one section of my hair on the side to see if it would straighten it. It did pretty good. Is it at great as my normal size RUSK? No, but it’s perfect for bangs and shorter pieces. It gets close to the scalp without leaving that weird indention. In the picture I provided, I curled my hair (because it’s raining out and pointless to straighten it) but did straighten my bangs. I would recommend this definitely for bangs, short hair and touch ups....oh and it does pretty good at curling shorter pieces. The best part is the floating no gap plates. This is very important when choosing a straightener.

The lock mechanism is really easy to use and won’t unhook in your bag on accident, you have to slide the lever on the bottom while squeezing the plates together. Overall this is a really great, inexpensive straightener and I’d recommend it!

Great Straightener for travel

This straightener is perfect for travel or if you just don’t have a lot of space. I have very thin wavy-straight hair that doesn’t hold heat well. This straightener tames the waves and frizz I have without burning my hair off like some straighteners that get too hot when you use it. It’s a good size for me with my tiny hands and doesn’t grab too much hair at once. It also comes with a glove to use to prevent any burns, which is nice.By Cate on June 13, 2019

Though it's delivered relatively late, I am satisfied with a quality of this item. It's my first time to buy a mini flat iron, so I don't have a comparison. But, considering my bigger flat iron, it's a handy travel item. It's about 8.27 inch (21 cm). You can guess the actual size by seeing attached pics. It takes few seconds to heat up and cool down, and easy to grab. I don't have any difficulty to use it when I tried. On/off switch is inside of the iron--you can see the black button and red ramp on in the attached picture. Temperature is not adjustable.
