About 100 times better than my current Roku 2. So much smoother, so much faster, and many other cool things you can do with it. Playstation Vue network on this compared to Roku is night and day! The interface has so many more options and looks so modern. Well worth it, going to buy 2 more. Refurb looked brand new in a brown box.

Have ordered two of these, "Certified Refurbished" Fire TVs. Both have not worked. It seems that Amazon takes the faulty new Fire TVs in on return, then resets them, and sells them as "Certified Refurbished." However, they don't fix the problem.
I have returned two now. For the $5 in savings, it is NOT worth the hassle of these.

Refurbished works great with no complaints. Great for March Madness basketball. Has all the listings in on place on the March Madness app. Easier to watch high-def TV thru the Fire TV. I also have 2 Fire Sticks but tis is better because it has a faster processor. No skipping during fast sports. Highly recommend.

I'm having problems with the remote. I put the batteries in that it came with and those worked for a day then I replaced them after the remote stopped working. After I changed them the remote worked for a day or two but quit working again. I now have to use the app on my phone which is a small hassle. I would rather just use the remote. Any ideas how I can just trade out remotes or maybe it's a setting issue?

At first Netflix was pixelated to the point I couldn't see anything. I saw on a forum, where you can force updates and solve this problem. Go to system, setting, about and force the updates through several restarts and then netflix will work correctly with fire tv. I only removed a star since updating should of been part of initial installation, but Amazon has it set-up so it would update over a couple to a few days instead.

I bought the refurbished amazon fire tv doesn't work send a message to the seller they replaced for me and after little time stop work again so I can say that if you really not to have headache and lost your money don't get refurbished buy new one.😡😡😡

I've bought a couple Fire-Sticks and after buying the Fire-TV I will use this model from now on. The difference between the two may not be as noticeable if you live with fast DSL but when you have slower speeds the Fire-TV has internal memory whereas the Stick does not so we do not get the video pausing to buffer issue with the Fire-TV that we do with the Fire-Stick. Both are great in their own right.

I was hesitant about cord cutting, but after watching several videos regarding this device I tried it out. A week later I disconnected my cable boxes and haven't looked back since. Tablo, Hulu, Sling, Netflix and Showbox keep me from missing paying HUNDREDS of dollars a month!! The only thing I miss is having a DVR for my cable channels. THATS IT! It may take some getting used to but once you do, you won't look back.

Love my Amazon Fire TV and I have four Fire TV boxes and 2 Fire Tv Sticks. They all work perfectly and you can often get a nice little discount buying a refurbished device which is just like a brand new device. Often people return these as they can't hook them up or some other reason, but the device itself is in perfect condition and has been tested prior to being re-sold. Excellent buy!
