I thought this movie was going to be really stupid, but it turned out being pretty cute. I just watched it for Felicity Jones because I really liked her in Like Crazy. I only rented the movie, but, if I found it in a bargain bin, I would buy it and watch it again. The plot plays out like you would expect it to. There are no truly original concepts in the film, but it is still entertaining.

This is another life can turn around for you when it seems everything's gone up in smoke story. Kim is a strong character who doesn't compromise herself. There were some scenes that I could do without but overall the story is encouraging. To get back on the horse after you've been thrown and follow your dreams. She even has an effect on those around her to make choices for their own dreams and desires and not to let others or life just pass you by....follow your heart.

Whilst a touch predictable with a familiar feel to it, the individual and ensemble performances do help to raise a moderate script to a very enjoyable feel-good RomCom of a film. The two Bill's, Bailey & Nighy, in particular raise this film above average with their very different performances and Felicity Jones is a very engaging lead and has good chemistry with the rest of the cast. There are some very funny moments in this film and that combined with an uplifting triumph for the lead character after an earlier tragedy, well shot thrilling snow boarding scenes and magnifficent scenery makes for a good above average entertaining film.

All the family love this film. We have watched it at least twice a week since we bought it! When there is nothing on the TV, one of the family says "Let's watch Chalet Girl"! It's a feel-good film that combines poor girl gets rich guy with friendships across the social divide that are often created in real life over a ski season! Stunning scenery and some good snow board sequences. Highly recommend this as a light-hearted film.

This is a film that is a little silly but fun to watch, westwick who normally plays Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl, who is normally infatuated with Bee! In this he plays the rich kid all grown up who falls for the seasons hired help, she like a fish out of water finds her feet and shows she can be just as good as anyone else, the normal hired help who has been there before and fits in well is a little green eyed when this beautiful young thing seems to be taking over and blending in,some very funny bits with some very silly moments but great for a grey day.

This film is constantly on the move it does not let up for even a single scene, or never a dull moment, almost from the word go Kims bubbly never say die personality keeps the film going and although we can see the ending before it comes it is still a pleasure to watch. Felicity Jones is backed up by a very good bunch of supporting actors and some beautiful mountain scenery and the DVD has been produced with a high standard of picture resolution.
